The guilt was too much so I booted Articuno and brought back Pidgeot!

One gym left to do now, was hoping to wrap this up before Smash comes out this week but I’m still enjoying it and just wandering around catching Pokemon

Put a couple more hours into this tonight and saved at the Indigo Plateau, ready to take on the Elite Four tomorrow!

Getting a bit fed up of the whole SPAM POKEBALLS catching mechanic, though. Everything I find now just breaks out of ultra balls (even when I get an EXCELLENT) and then runs away :roll:

Just wasting all my balls... Can you buy the berries from anywhere or have you just got to hope you find them in the bushes?

No idea why I've got to fight a Snorlax, make it faint, and then still have to throw ball after ball after ball while it hops around in front of me. If it's fainted, it's fainted

A level and a half from my Dratini learning hyper beam then I can finally evolve it. Putting it in the ball again and taking it to Edinburgh today so that should get it done. Gonna hit so many Pokestops with the auto spin thing too :datass:

While I just started the game as it was my pre chirstmas treat to myself and went for the added bonus of the pokeball plus

Beat the Elite Four. Got Mewtwo using by the Master Ball. :datass:

Now, collect all 151 Pokemon and fight the master trainers.

I’ve just caught Zapdos and left Cinnabar. Got to fit this and Guacamelee 2 in before Smash...

Gym 7 down, next up is the power plant to fill out my dex a little more and catch Zapdos. Then it’ll be onto Viridian gym and Victory Road/Moltres

Looks like we’re basically at the same point Robbo! Reckon you’ll beat me to the finish line though, I don’t really have time for extended sessions.

I struggle to get decent gaming sessions in these days as well, other stuff just gets in the way :lol:

Most I’ve done recently was when Let’s Go came out and I put about 8 hours into on the Saturday, since then its been an hour or two here and there.

Edit, caught Zapdos bringing my dex up to 100 caught!

Still need to catch a few more before I do the 8th gym. Farfetched, Scyther, Dratini (although I’ve yet to even see one of those yet), Machop (and Machoke( plus a few more evo’s like Parasect, Golduck, Hypno, Eevee and its 3 evolutions. Can’t actually recall the last time I actively focused on filling out my dex, normally I just play it then restart it after banking all my Pokémon.

Ah, bless you Lance. Bless you and your tendency to use Hyper Beam on Pokémon with negligible SpAtk. That only worked in Gen. 1, mate!

Anyway, main game down. Champion is rubbish. Sadly my MVP, Hubble the Starmie, was the only member of my team to die during it. Oops...

Ah well, you bet me to it in the end!

I’ve just been crowned the Champion as well (agree on the overly easy final battle as well), I;ll be paying Cerulean cave a visit very shortly

Poke dex finished on 122, after MewTwo I reckon I’ll give this a bit of a break and go and play something else, safe to say I have loved every minute of this game though :wub:

Not much in it though! And you beat me on the Pokédex, think I was at 118 or something when I beat the E4? I can’t say I loved every minute, especially not the catching, but it’s a solid 8/10.

For Mewtwo, I used a cheese strategy. Alolan Faticate started off using Toxic, then just play out the turns. :mrgreen:

I think I’ll be going for a similar strategy if I don’t beat it next time, although maybe with Mega Gyarados as I don’t have an Alolan Raticate to hand.

I didn’t use Megas out of principle. :dread:

Its the only way I can thin of to get a dark type :lol:

Anyway, I got lucky on my second try, got it down to low health with the rest of my team (levelled them all up a couple and they didn’t get one shotted) and Pikachu lucked it out on low health so I could get one more Zippy Zap in
