I don't know how many get paid, i'm sure it depends on how many enter.

If the structure is the same as last time then I disagree that one of us developing a monster stack is the ideal scenario as having a big stack doesn't mean a lot at the final table, even the biggest stacks were very short in relation to the blinds.

Really we just want to all reach the final table, steal lots of blinds and run good when we get called. The more of us that reach the final table the better it is for us, no matter how big our stacks are. There's just too much variance for us to rely on one big stack making the cash, so with that in mind it is never good for us to knock a team mate out assuming both of us have a reasonable stack.

I just hope we are seperated to start with so we can develop our stacks without the headaches...

The discussion makes it sound like more of a big deal than it actually is. Really we're not going to be playing much different to usual as in the past we've always tried to avoid knocking each other out even though it wasn't a team game. So i'm not worried about having team mates on my table but if it makes things easier then we just have to register at the same time and we will all be on different tables.

One thing I would say though is that the general idea should be to avoid playing directly against each other and focus on getting chips from the other teams. So if two of us are in a hand and all other players have folded then i'm probably not going to be betting much even with the nuts as it doesn't make sense to take chips off a team mate (that is assuming the rules allow it). Only exception is if I'm short on chips and team mate is very comfortable, then i'll be looking for a few of their chips.

Yes, we are playing at a pub, Rex. More or less, anyway.

We need to have as many people at the FT as possible, in my opinion. No signals, just try to avoid big pots. I.e, don't bluff each other. A 3 bet indicates some strength (we can discuss ranges before we get there).

Are you saying that you have simply observed that after registering one after another you ended up on different tables or are you suggesting you know how the seat draws are done?

If it is done by computer software it is random (or at least pseudo random).

The last time we went there, we all reg'd one after the other, and we were given pieces of paper with out table number and seat on. I don't remember if it was done randomly or whether he was systematically going though table 1 seat 1, table 2 seat 1, table 3 seat 1, etc.

How did you get on in that big WH tournament last night? When I logged off you were sitting with 20k.

Even then they should randomly select the card. It shouldn't be ordered.

Came 40th for $250 although Aaron played from 1am-4am for me. Made some really bad plays towards the end, so tired and was playing TF2 at the same time. Fortunately Aaron is on some run good atm.

The idea is to split up groups that know each other equally across tables, they do the same thing at all of the pub games I've played. Random is the fairest way of doing it but in the pub games it's not a big deal (it's largely the same players every week) and when you only have pen and paper it's much easier to assign seats in order of registration.

Rules for sunday
Basicly bud the rules are the same as singles, what you cant do is talk about what cards you have, share chips or give indications about what you are going to do out of turn, what you can do is discuss tactics and hands as long as its away from the table and you are not in a hand.
