Sat, if you and me and Slayer want to go together, then there is a room in a Days Inn near the Ricoh Arena, that's £108 between the 3 of us for the 3 nights (Friday-Sunday). £12 a day and only 6 mins away from the place itself, which seems pretty good.

I should know for sure this week, prob Tuesday or Wednesday. I did already ask for the time off but they must've missed my email as I got a reply for some other holiday but not the Goliath one.
I'm not working nights now, so I can ask the guy who organises holidays directly on Tuesday, and I'll either know there and then or the next day.

It's very likely that I can get the time off work, only thing that makes me slightly unsure is that it's a bank holiday weekend otherwise it'd be 100%.

Hotel sounds good though, i'll confirm this week.

The usual run bad so far in the Sunday MTTs. I've got AA and flop is 679, get it in against QT. Turn is Ten, river is Queen. :fp:

Unlucky :x

I'm running ok in mine. Doing well in a 3.30 tourney, hanging on in two others and on 13k in the Storm.

Someone called with Q10 on a 679 flop?! how much did you raise pre- and on the flop?

I can't remember exact bet amounts but I had raised pre from EP and they called from the BB. I bet flop, they raise, I re-raise, they shove, I call. I had close to starting stack, so I think about 20BB.

It's so frustrating when people win with plays like that.

As I type this, Just lost with nuts flush to flopped full house. Really should've read that board better :fp:

Oh man. Got above the average and then stacked off (no need to at all) with JK vs QQ on 8TJ board. I called a raise all in after my raise to his lead out :fp:

Just got busted with QQ against 99 both overpairs on the board. He shoves the flop, I call and he hits the runner runner straight with a gutshot on the river. Ugh.

That sounds like a good deal I will book a hotel for one night just for the 22nd Day 1C if I decide to play 1C and 1D as my coach would arrive at like 10am and I think tourney would start at like 12am so not the best conditions to play under.

I might end up coming down the 22nd and playing a side event and register for 1D.

Can we register online or is on the day at the casino?

Just won the biggest hand I've won so far. Small time compared to everyone else on here ($0.02BB) and maybe there was a better way to play it, but overall I've won more in ring games than I've lost (that was true before this hand) so this is the icing on the cake for tonight's session.

Preflop: Hero is CO with AImage, AImage
5 folds, Hero bets $0.06, Button calls $0.06, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.15) JImage, 9Image, AImage (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $0.06, Hero raises to $0.12, Button raises to $0.24, Hero raises to $0.36, Button raises to $2.13 (All-In), Hero calls $1.77

Turn: ($4.41) 7Image (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($4.41) 10Image (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $4.41 | Rake: $0.15

Results below:
Button didn't show
Hero had AImage, AImage (three of a kind, Aces).
Outcome: Hero won $4.26

So, this Goliath has a 1900 player cap meaning slightly fewer players than last year. Yet, they've doubled the guarantee, and even if each day fills up there will still be a £10k overlay!

It doesn't make sense! :?

Do you know if it is possible to reg yet on the software we used last year?

Good luck today. Knowing you, you'll probably end the day being a sponsored pro.

I've been trying so hard to get to the Wembley thing - managed 5 33 euro tickets but haven't even got to Day One yet. Depressing.
