Running 2nd of 49 in a $3 knockout on Stars at the moment. More or less doubled with AA vs KQ.

Edit - Bit of sickness kicks me out in 14th. All in for chip lead with QQ vs K7. River K :x

Took a shot at the $100 SCOOP Main Event. Raise UTG with QQ called by J9 and the flop comes 99J :fp:

One of my friends got knocked out from the £50+5 Grosvenor tournament last night getting it in in a 350BB pot with QQ on a Q55 board and the other player tabled 55  Beyond brutal

You know what, its brutal - but it happens! And much more often you think it might. When you've got a hand like that you are hardly going to fold, but as it gets to 300BBs you surely got to start thinking, 'maybe he does have it!'

Where's a good place to start with all this online poker malarky?

Know the rules and what hands beat what in holdem, but that's it, really.

Pokerstars probably has the best software and is the most popular.
You don't have to put any money in, you can play at free play tables, but it's hard to learn games that way as nobody plays properly when money isn't involved.

Absolutely - I'm not sure what the action was in terms of how many raises there were before the shove, but assuming there's a 4 or 5 bet when you're sat on QQ the worst you can really think they have is A5s or complete air really. Even KK/AA is weak with that many BB in the middle. Just a cooler really.

Q5 is more likely than 55 in that situation. I don't think I ever even consider folding, they probably bluff their whole stack more often than they flop quads.
