Heh nice. JT lol.

I've flopped one once in a cash game. Other than that I've had 3 or so more. maybe 4. I can recall 3. Got paid on one too!

Just folded AJ22 in PLO and flop comes AJJ and turn was a 2. 3 spades. :(

In this World Cup of Poker free roll and no one's playing. Half the people are just sitting out.

I'd like some feedback on a hand. I was nearing the end of a $10 18-man tournament.

PokerStars Game #32401640807: Tournament #192453714, $10+$1 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level IX (300/600) - 2009/09/03 21:16:42 WET [2009/09/03 16:16:42 ET]
Table '192453714 1' 9-max Seat #9 is the button
Seat 5: Pita8787 (10865 in chips)
Seat 8: Proper Zing (12245 in chips)
Seat 9: Almi87 (3890 in chips)
Pita8787: posts the ante 50
Proper Zing: posts the ante 50
Almi87: posts the ante 50
Pita8787: posts small blind 300
Proper Zing: posts big blind 600
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Proper Zing [Qh Ah]
Almi87: raises 3240 to 3840 and is all-in
Pita8787: raises 6975 to 10815 and is all-in
Proper Zing: folds
Uncalled bet (6975) returned to Pita8787
*** FLOP *** [9h 3h 8c]
*** TURN *** [9h 3h 8c] [3c]
*** RIVER *** [9h 3h 8c 3c] [6h]

Almi87: shows [9c Ad] (two pair, Nines and Threes)
Almi87 collected 8430 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 8430 | Rake 0
Board [9h 3h 8c 3c 6h]
Seat 5: Pita8787 (small blind) showed [Qd As] and lost with a pair of Threes
Seat 8: Proper Zing (big blind) folded before Flop
Seat 9: Almi87 (button) showed [9c Ad] and won (8430) with two pair, Nines and Threes
I really wanted to call and would have made the nut flush. I ended up going out shortly after, getting unlucky twice in a row.

What's your roll at the moment, Drum? I fold there. You don't need to be in that hand, forget about what came out on the board. Call one person, yeah, but not two.

$510. And yeah, I felt folding was the correct move, regardless of whether I'd have won. Still annoying though.

It seems everyone is playing those tournaments now

Three-handed I'm probably calling with AQs. The blinds are so big that those guys are going to be shoving with much worse hands a lot of the time.

But why take the risk? You'll most likely have to avoid quite a few cards to win it outright, unlike a one-on-one, and he had a solid number of chips regardless of the result. Heads-up, insta-call, but a multi-way pot...hmmm....I think a fold is fine there, anyway.

To make the call profitable, I only need to be ahead of the big stack who came over the top, and to be honest I felt I would be but I didn't feel like it was necessary to get involved, so after some deliberation I let my blinds go and kept my stack.

Ah yeah, didn't think about that. Not a horrible error to fold, though.

That's my main reason for calling. You can basically ignore the short stack and treat it as heads up.

It's probably not the correct way to play it but I like to be agressive when it gets down to three and for me AQs is not getting folded.

Down to the final 62 out of 2120 in a $15 turbo. 8-)

It's all gooing to be down to luck now as the blinds are so big but I'm guaranteed at least $50.

Edit: I came 35th and got $60. I was looking good but then I got it all-in with A7 on 4A7 board against KJ. There were no flush draws and so I was a 98% favourite to win that pot, but he runner runnered a straight and I lost over half my stack. :|

I hung on for a bit but didn't get any decent cards and everyone else was going all-in every hand so there were no chances to steal the blinds. Ended up just shoving with J3s once I got down to about 4BB :fp:

You can't really make an aggressive call though satriales. Whilst it's a good hand I don't like to voluntarily flip for my stack 3 handed, espcecially if you think you probably have an edge HU. You are 18 BB deep and you might go out in third. Fold. Take 2nd/1st IMO.

Yeah I would certainly be up for some sort of meet-up for a poker tourney at a casino or at home. We should maybe arrange it for the Easter break for Uni students, if everyone who isn't there can do it?

I would definitely be up for some kind of meet. Probably needs to be somewhere central mind.

I know that Nova, Red Dev, DML and I are very south and that Rex and Aaron are midlands based in Coventry. Satriales isn't far away at all in Surrey, Sykes is in Birmingham and Slayer's in Bradford. Not sure about anyone else.
