At the second break now. 46 left, summary is as follows.

Luwinski: 4700 - 24th
Red Devil: 4200 - 28th
Sykes: 3575 - 33rd
Me: 1300 - 45th

I haven't been above the starting stack the entire tournament. Running ridiculously bad. Somehow managed to avoid shoving AJ into an UTG limper's AQ, other than that the best hand I've seen is 77 which I got nowhere with.

Whiskey was destroying very early on and had around 6k. Luwinski has been up and down but is doing well and has very recently joined the table of yours truly! Sykes doubled with KQ vs QQ after hitting a king on the river, and then made a set of kings on the flop against a spaz to chip up some.

Satriales flopped top set first hand and doubled instantly. From then on didn't get much going before he got into a flip for 7k with AQ vs 77. Sevens flopped a set obv and out he went. :(

I was playing a bit of rush poker this morning and probably played about 30-50 hands. The problem is it takes away alot of the more advanced skills in poker and reduces it to thinking about your cards as you're not villian dependent. My first hand was JJ which I lost a bit but finished up after someone tried to bluff me off TPGK and had Ace high. I didn't reaaly like it partially perhaps because the minimum stakes was above my usual but I can also see it taking action junkie fish off the lower limit tables which isn't good for me.

From a quick read it doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in, especially the constant position and blind changes. Like Ecno said I think it would take a way a lot from the game not being able to build any sort of reads on people on your table. It's hard to really comment though without seeing it in action, it might make players a little more loose allowing tighter players to maybe gain an edge.

Rush poker sounds rubbish!

Came out of pub poker obscurity to play last night for the first time in well over a month. I won naturally.

Have you given up with online poker now? I've not seen you on in ages. :(

Largely yeah. That said, I have started a new job recently, so being careful with that. I do most of my games for cash live now, and am making good at that, my keep has been paid purely on poker winnings for three of the last four months.

Seen the video a couple of times before but still like it. Rush Poker actually makes people more nitty as the inpatient can see more hands so there're less likely to play trash.

I hate low limit cash games. I've got two tables up and I'm up $2.5 in one and down $3 in the other, the one I'm down on I ran trip 9s into trip Qs which is unlucky but then I lost a lot in this hand:

GAP19832009 collected $1.98 from pot

You're calling in the SB with JQo? I would say that should be ditched pre. Spesh considering how spazzy some players are at these stakes. Unless you flop a straight or two pair, I wouldn't be getting all in after turn/river. Personally. But then I'm not good at cash

I personally would only be in a hand with JQo if I was in HU, possibly three handed. The bet on the flop is obviously mental and although it turns out it was a good call (at the time) I just wouldn't feel confident with that kind of board and a Queen kicker. Sometimes it's so hard to tell when you get such crazy people playing at these low stakes. :(

Normally I wouldn't but xXbambi had been pretty loose with his raises, going to stop playing them for a bit I think and do some more reading before I go back.
