Think I'm gonna go semi blackout with SwSh here on out. I'll still watch directs but watching vids that tour towns seem a bit much to me. Especially if these places aren't all that big. That's one area from SunMoon that really disappointed me.

Pedz wrote:Isn't exp all/share in all the mainline games in Gen I it's called Expall, but in Gen II onwards they changed the name.

Just reading up on it and it is and in Gen VI onwards it still only gives 50% of exp to Pokémon that haven't fought in battle, though it is to the entire team.

Yes 'exp share' is in the other games but it's different. In Gens II-V it's a hold item. Only the pokemon holding it gets the shared exp, and you only typically get one per playthrough.

And yeah as someone said with the new system from VI onwards, your battling pokemon still gets 100% exp. All of your non-battling mons get exactly half that. So it's a ton more exp shared out and there's no reason not to turn it on (unless you wanted the extra 'challenge' I guess).

I just flicked exp share on at points if my team was looking massively under-levelled, as being left on all the time does take a lot of the challenge out of the game.

Whenever we get the next update for these, I want to see some more fire types. There are only two lines of 'mon that are not starter lines confirmed to be in the games that are fire type. Meanwhile, there are plenty of grass and water lines, and even a load of dark and psychic lines.

There will probably only be one more lot of information about these before they release anyway won’t there? Pretty much in September now (well I don’t see them announcing anything in the rest of August) and they come out mid November. I’m still on the fence about how much more of the Pokémon I’d like to see, second stage starters for example, on the one hand I’d love to be genuinely surprised when they evolve (or horrified ) but on the other I kind of like to plan my team out a little too much sometimes so not knowing as much could be a good thing.

Only a matter of time before the start evos are spoiled. I do kinda wanna see them tho. Based on various rumours and supposed leaks I'm really interested to see what they actually are now.

September is very definite for an update, but I wouldn't rule out October, especially if there's news about the anime near the end of Sun and Moon's run - which will possibly show off some new 'mon.

You mean these ones right?

Joking obviously but I think I have seen one lot of the supposed leaked starter evolutions, whether they turn out to be true or not......

Not fussed when we next get an update, I’d just like it to be the final one pre release! As others have said we had far too much of Sun and Moon shown off before release so having less info would be better in my opinion. It'll be interesting to see which way the anime goes, if it goes back to an XYZ style or sticks with the Sun/Moon one.

I read somewhere about it being back to the XY-style, but can't remember exactly where I read it, so it might have just been someone stating their wishes as fact. I highly doubt we'll be waiting long to see with that.

EDIT: Well, that didn't take long since I said the above.

Is that the one wear he becomes some sort of spy related Pokémon? Sure I saw something along those lines floating round a while back.

I remember being so excited for Fennekin as the first stage looked so cool.

Then the later stages were revealed and holy strawberry float, switch out to Froakie sharpish.

Fennekin was a prime example of how not to evolve a starter :lol

This video does the best job of any I've seen in addressing all the failings of this game so far.

Reckon we might get the starters' second forms shown tonight.

I sort of want to go in blind from now on, as it did add a sense of excitement to Sun and Moon (sorely missing from the actual plot and progression). Might mean bailing on this thread and going dark.
