I love how they couldn't even get that right. Came out like a year after the game came out so anyone who had been playing since lanuch had level 100 Pokémon easily.

Laziest company in the industry.

The levels in the DLC should have been an average of your current team, then it wouldn’t have mattered if you’d just finished the game or been playing it solidly for the best part of 7 to 8 months, maybe the legendary Pokémon in the Crown Tundra could have maxed out at 80 (although Calryex/selected horse was if I remember correctly).

There's a lot of things the Pokémon games should do differently but never will because the Devs don't give a gooseberry fool about the quality of the product they put out.

That's why the performance of these games was terrible at launch and never improved, amoung other things.

It's almost like different people have different relationships with the series and they should consider that in their game design rather than lazily applying a one size fits all design philosophy to absolutely everything.

You won’t catch me disagreeing that exp share being on all the time was a bad idea

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sounds like it's very much intended as an extension to your existing playthrough

Cross posting from the other thread but I was wondering if anyone might be in a position to trade me a Poliwag (for Sword) or any evolution of it? And if so is now a good time to start a general Pokemon / Pokemon trading thread?

I can do that yes.

Time for my monthly rant

I can't believe how predatory this game is

You can't back up your save and the free version of home only gives you one box so they're basically forcing you to pay an extra special Pokémon cloud save fee if you don't want to risk losing your save data.

Meanwhile hackers can just insert any Pokémon into their game for free. Can't imagine why so many people do that now

Cool, thank you :) Would you like anything in particular in return?

I mean I'd like basically anything which requires an irritating evolution method:

Goodra
Sirfetch’d
Malamar
Alcremie
Runerigus

But I realise giving a poliwhirl in exchange is a bad trade for you so maybe any of the below:

Seadra
Omastar
Dragonair
Meganium
Togetic
Xatu
Jumpluff
Qwilfish
Spiritomb
Delibird
Donphan
Silcoon
Vigoroth
Exploud
Manectric
Crawdaunt

How does DLC work for this?
Is it post game/buy if you like it does it work concurrently to main game?

Either, you can play it as soon as you reach Wedgehurst town/station (the two passes get added to your items straight from the off if you’re starting a new game) or at any point throughout the game, I believe the levels of the Pokémon in the first DLC change depending how many gym badges you have, presumably it’s the same for the 2nd lot of DLC.

Yeah I'm going to ask about this too... :slol:

I have Sword, what do i need to unlock both The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra?

On Dekudeals the Expansion Pack for "Sword/Shield" is showing as £19.85....or the Sword Expansion Pack is £26.99. that can't be right... right?

Yeah for Sword you need the Sword Expansion Pass, and for Sheild the, erm, Shield one.

A quick look on the eshop shows that there isn't just a generic pass for both. Not sure what Deku Deals is offering.

Edit - So it seems like you buy the digital code, you have to select which version you have when you redeem it.

It's a massive con, like Fade said. I want to buy Pokémon Sword for another run through Galar, and to get the exclusive legendaries, but I have to pay for the DLC again as well.

Strangely ShopTo are now offering a joint pass for the DLC now, maybe they’ve changed it to allow you to choose which you redeem?
