You can’t make it up, finally nearly got 400 Meltan candy to get my own Melmetal and what is in the mystery gift box when I open up Home on my phone? A ruddy Melmetal :fp: Not complaining mind! National dex is up to 720 now, going to try and trade some of the high level spawns in Sword/Shield for some of the gaps I’m missing, the Mythical Pokémon will just have to be added when they actually get round to releasing them again in some fashion (I’m really hoping that all of Gen 4’s Mythical Pokémon will actually be available relatively easily in the remakes).

Edit, also how haven’t they added some form of GTS to the Switch version of Home yet is beyond me, just allow it to be used without the need for a Nintendo online subscription, its already a paid service anyway :fp:

Made some good progress with my living dex in home tonight, gone from 720 to 750 with the help of transferring in all I could from Go at the moment (well, ones I hadn’t got in Home that is) and breeding a couple of Pokémon in Shield to help be along the way too.

A slightly odd question about Dynamax Adventures anyway, as I already have a full set of Legendary Pokémon you can catch from my main Shield save, could I transfer all of those into my Sword save and use them to get the routes for the Legendary Pokémon in Sword, would make it a lot quicker rather than hoping for the best with random routes.

well i think it has to be caught from the adventures so transfers wouldnt work. plus that wouldnt stop you from meeting doubles

Well the full set I’m referring to were all caught in the Dynamax Adventures, I’m not sure if it’d see a traded one as having caught it though, probably safer to do it the normal way just in case.

Got the Crown Tundra done yesterday, really do love it

Now on grinding out legendary Pokémon in the Dynamax Adventures again, something I really enjoyed for the most part last time too.

Off topic but I really do need to get around to visiting Scotland at some point.

Edit, not sure if it’s just me overthinking it a little but the Dynamax Adventures definitely seem longer to get a full room than before when playing online, before hand I’d have a room of 4 players in no time, whereas this morning its been going to nearer the 3 minute mark so I’m glad I’m getting another full lot of them now rather than leaving it later as its bound to drop off even more when the Diamond and Pearl remakes are out later in the year.

You certainly do. Is Crown Tundra legit based on Scotland then? Are there football hooligans wrecking its city centres?

No, the hooligans ventured into England in the form of Team Yell

But yes, it really is based loosely on Scotland.

I'll need to get hold of that then! I also understand, and am a little more offended by, the topic title now.

Personally I love the DLC they’ve done for Sword and Shield, although if hunting and catching Legendary Pokémon isn’t your idea of fun then the second DLC will probably feel like a bit of a slog as that’s essentially the base of it. Isle of Armor is good but that’s really short compared to the Crown Tundra. Well worth the £20 or so you can get an expansion pass for though.

It's very weird, though. The Crown Tundra is based on Scotland, so they place it reverse of the real UK position. But then Galar's northern area is also a hilly snow covered landmass. That means Galar is snowy mountains at both sides which really makes little sense.

Finishing off my solo run and subsequently going through the DLC again (still just with the one Pokémon till I needed something to tank hits while catching everything in Poké balls) is just making me feel even more excited for the Gen 4 remakes this year and Legends Arceus next year, then probably Gen 9 coming in late 2023 at the earliest. Legends in particular has me really excited for the future of the series. Hopefully we’ll get some more news about the remakes at E3 or in the next few weeks if Pokémon do their usual and have their own small stream for Pokémon news.

No doubt they'll do a Pokémon Presents/Direct a week before E3 as happened the last few times. While we won't see anything new within the E3 Direct, I expect we'll see the Treehouse team giving us a look at both. Definitely the remakes, though maybe not Legends.

Have they confirmed treehouse is returning?

I can’t see Legends being on the Treehouse stream (if they are having one this year? With it all being digital I have no idea if they’ve confirmed anything past being there in some capacity at the moment) but BDSP definitely will be there in some way, hopefully they confirm if we’re getting any of the Platinum content or not, I’m just hoping it’ll allow an easy way to finally catch the likes of Shaymin, Darkrai and Arceus (although in theory these should all be in Legends Arceus as we’re documenting the first Poké dex), I’m still slightly disappointed we haven’t had any forms of Mythical Pokémon giveaways this year, either via WiFi or through Wild Area raids like they did with Mewtwo beforehand.
