How do the timed event pokemon usually work in these games? I didn't play any of the 3DS games when they originally came out, so never got involved. Do you need to get far into the game before obtaining them, or is it just a case of having a save and then doing the mystery gift option on the menu at the appropriate time?

 If it's any consolation, she learns what is almost certainly the best fire-type move in any Pokemon game. Sizzly Slide  :toot:

It's got nothing on Splishy Splash

Love what they did with Let's Go. It was a breath of fresh and and took some mechanics back to basics which was welcome. Especially the way you can boost your pokemon IV stats by simply gaining candies and the way we can find shines. Those must stay in future games for me. Competitive pokemon battles and shiny hunting has become somewhelat elitist and these changes have opened it up big time.

For me all they need to do is give us the proper capture system, and give us a bit more online content such as friends lists, pokebank etc and I'll be happy!

 I didn't really think about what I was typing! It's nothing (that) weird, it's just I spent quite a lot of time playing cute Eevee dress-up when I played the game and got maybe a bit too attached. OK, maybe that's a bit weird... :slol:

At least it’s a digital animal, if you start doing that with real foxes/dogs we’re going to have to get the police involved.

It's never happening but it's been my dream to play a Pokemon game that's as vast and full of life like the Anime is. I'm keeping expectations pretty low for Gen 8 but still pretty excited. Bring on the fake leaks upon shoddy rumours until release. It's always a part of the journey >,>

I want an electric panda Pokémon called Pandagraff.

Oh oh and some of the GSC beta Pokémon, like fat electric tiger and Shellder’s Slowpoke form and evolved Farfetch’d.

I think quite a few fans are getting excited that they’ll be announcing gen 8 on Pokémon day, past couple of days they’ve had a Kanto and Johto related video/picture posted on social media, if they do a Hoenn one this evening then that’ll make it look like something is slowly building up as doing a region/gen a day will mean gen 8 on Pokémon day........

I've loved the instrumental themes of the starting seasons they've had, but I'm really not looking forward to the Diamond and Pearl theme. I've never much liked that season's theme.

The DP soundtrack was bobbins. Even the pieces that started off well (Mt. Coronet, snowy routes) go sour later on in their loops.

That’d be amazing (and frankly a dream Pokémon game, only if you started afresh team wise each time you go to the next region).

But do we have to do all eights gyms and fight the league of every region? Then get to Kalos and lose against a Charizard with an overpowered water type.

I'd prefer sticking to one new region that's more packed with activities than spacing it all out over several regions. I don't think we're quite there yet >,>

I'd love to have all the region's. As you say it could end up pretty sparse with things massively spread out, but one day it'll hopefully happen and with enough stuff to make it the ultimate Pokémon experience.

I’d probably be very happy if we were lucky enough to get 2 regions included! If they wanted to they could always release other regions as DLC although a new game would be more likely (unless they’re going to stick with a mainline game and a Let’s Go game rotating every other year in which case a new region dlc pack would be decent).
