Is it demo time yet? Or will they be avoiding such a thing this time around? One month out is the same as the Sun and Moon demo, but I can see why they wouldn't want to risk it. Having a demo set in the southern wild area and the town to the south of it would be kinda neat.

I would guess at the trailer also showing off a few new 'mon - including forms. Maybe even a bit of a look at a few more Gyms (especially within Tanglewood). And perhaps a large surprise something at the end that isn't the demo announcement.

Let’s Go got a demo as well didn’t it? So the last 2 out of 3 games have had a demo (don’t think USUM did?) so it certainly is a possibility, getting to explore even a small portion of the wild area and a small town would be more than enough to give people a taste of it.

I still don’t know how that actually happened with Sun and Moon(?), surely they could have made the demo a completely separate ‘game’ to the full release, only included the information in the game files about the few Pokémon who’d appear in the demo rather than the full selection. Maybe it’s just me being slightly naive but I really don’t get how they let the information into the demo in the first place.

Anyway, just over half an hour till our next lot of information, hype :D

Thing is, they don't usually remove data from demos, just hide it from view or make it inaccessible through normal means.

And yes, hype!

You’d have thought with how, let’s say obsessive some portions of the Pokémon fan base can be that they’d err on the side of caution with a demo that could reveal/spoil so much.

You would think that, but hardly anyone in development seems to think about it. For all games.

To be fair, it'd have been a surprise had we not seen all but one of them in the leak from CoroCoro.

But yeah. A trailer just to announce a few more G-Max forms feels poor. Could have been something else in there to spice it up, but it seems this month is purely about the forms old 'mon have.

If I can evolve that Eevee, it's going on my team. If the powers that be have decided that it can't evolve for whatever reason... box fodder. I'll get my Espeon elsewhere.

I guess it was too much to hope that Game Freak had got their Gen 1 obsession out of the way with last years game.

Looking forward to the reveal of Gigantomax Charizard 1 and Gigantomax Charizard 2 next week. Would really win over the games naysayers.

Many gaming news outlets have had ninety-minute plays of the game and their non-spoiler thoughts are widely available. I'm more intrigued by the game than I was; I'd kinda forgotten that it was UK-themed and it seems that this aspect is fairly prominent in terms of some building appearances, the language ("mum" rather than "mom") and even in the styling of some Pokémon.

For me, my thoughts on the game have shifted from "no" to "maybe"!
