So I finished the story and was like "yay now I can use my team online no problems"

Online: Everyone using the same 20 EV/IV trained Pokémon that can sweep you with dynamax.

Even in casual battles.

One of the things I like about Pokémon go is that every Pokémon has its use, even if one is "bad" you can make it work. The fact some Pokémon just have flat out better move pools and stats than others makes it not worth using quite a few of them.

Dragapult is one of my favourite new Pokémon. It's design and moveset are great.

Yeah it really is great, if I do get a copy of Sword once Home is out I’ll probably transfer one straight over so I can use it from the start, bit cheap but it’s too good to just wait till the last portion of the game to use it.

This is why I very rarely venture online, if I do battle anyone its normally people I know and both people just use their team from the game, or both use a team specifically trained for online use.

Just out of interest though, where (and how) can you max your Pokémon's IVs and reset their EVs? Presume its at the battle tower as I know thats where you can purchase nature mints.

Edit, what a cheap move from Hop right at the end! Pulling out Zacian like nothing! One thing that did cross my mind as soon as he caught it was why don’t they offer to trade them back and forth, or at least let the others get their data for the Pokédex? I very much doubt anyone will give away their cover legendary online, even more so when you don’t know what you’re trading for if its not been set up in a room. Could have been a different way to fill out another page of your dex but oh well.

Finished.

Found Leon quite tough tbh because I was about on par level wise but had no idea of the types he was using and my Dragon Pokemon is weak and slow.

Completed my dex a couple of days ago. Main game and post game done with some of the battle tower done. Will be going back to it later and seeing if I've missed some side stuff anywhere, but at the moment I'm shiny hunting for some reason. Something which I've never bothered doing in any pokemon game before. Will probably be satisfied with just the one shiny.

Just organise a trade with someone where you both trade your cover legendary to each other. Pretty much guarantees a trade back.

I have shield because I prefer the exclusives but definitely prefer the sword wolf.

So if anyone wants to trade wolf for wolf let me know.

I’ll be doing that as soon as someone I know playing Sword reaches that point, just thought it might have been an ok idea for players who don’t know anyone else with the games so if they wanted to complete the dex they have one of the trickier pages ticked off.

The raids on this game are actually broken aren't they?

I've had one instance where it's actually found other people. Makes it almost impossible to do 5 star raids.

Do you mean it's impossible with or without other people?

It's certainly tougher without. Not impossible. I find 2 humans (including yourself) makes it much easier.

Well I said I was thinking about taking a break from this, not a chance

Currently in the wild area, battling and looking for Pokémon I’m yet to catch and switching 5 out of my party out to level some up to fill out some more pages.

The problem is the AI gets killed too easily, if 4 of them go down that's it.

The terrible matchmaking is still inexcusable though, especially considering how well this has sold.

Yeah the AI is just poor in raids, doesn’t help they normally have earlier evolutions or pretty poor ones in general (not helped by their seemingly lower levels). Highest I’ve managed to do on my own is a 4 star raid.

So what should I be doing post game? Is there more stuff to see. There's no real hint at it other than going back to Slumbering Weild.

That would be awesome, do you need anything for it?
