The story is pretty much Sonic Unleashed. Starts strong, dives off a cliff just under half way through, doesn't pick up again until just before the end.

I know someone who did a review of Shield recently...

I would do but only have Shield.

Is there any way you could transfer it to Pokémon Home?

Actually ignore that because you wouldn't be able to get it back again :fp:

I can do it at the weekend if you remind me via PM to arrange a time.

I've just realised I never actually finished this. Pretty sure I did about 7 of the gyms but it just didn't click with me. Of course, this is always the way with me and Pokemon games since Black - I'll buy it, give up and shelve it half way, then a new one gets announced and I remember that I never finished the previous one, go back and get REALLY INTO IT for a month ahead of the release of the new one and then am pretty bored of it by the release of the new one, so get halfway through it and yadda yadda yadda.

Do you ever do online battles? That's where I spend most of my time.

Doubles online is like a really fun card game, apart from you don't have to rely on luck as much :)

The single player stuff is very basic and boring in comparison, though the story wasn't too bad, definitely better than the anime .

Surprised we haven’t got a date for the first DLC pack as of yet, with the lack of date it kind of lends itself to launching near the end of June rather than anywhere else in the month.

However, I’ve seen https://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml this which shows quite a lot is coming to the game to apparently prepare players for the Isle of Armor. The mystery gifts include a hidden ability Galarian Mr Mime alongside a set of various Poké balls, then a Galaraian Ponyta alongside another variety of Poké balls, then a Galaraian Corsola alongside a bunch of evolution items and finally a Galarian Meowth alongside 50 Nuggets and 100 Large EXP candies. These are staggered with the last one starting on June 12th (other ones run for approx one week so this might be similar).

I’m going to say the first DLC will go live on Friday the 26th of June, maybe Thursday 25th if they let it go live when the eshop updates but thats unlikely in my opinion.

I’ve still not started this as I was going to wait for the DLC packs to come out but I don’t want to miss out on the fre items. Do you have to get far into the game to get the option to download them?

Don’t believe so, obviously will need to have started it but I think once you've started in the game you can download gifts.

I might start it up over the weekend and get these items downloaded, cheers Robbo!

It's a bit gooseberry fool they're giving away two Shield exclusives, why not one from each game?

Odd isn’t it, maybe the Sword exclusives will come after Isle of Armor or before the Frozen Tundra?

Maybe...

Speaking of exclusives, does anybody have a leek they could trade me? I caught sir Fetch'd from a raid but there's no way for me to get it's leek item

Oh also, something that really bugs me in this game, when you search for a battle online, it searches for about 2 minutes, says it can't find anyone and then stops automatically.

I'm just trying to imagine who the heck thought that would be a good idea. It just compounds the problem of finding a battle. I cannot for the life of me think of another game that does this or what the reason would be.

Where do you get leeks in Sword? With Farfetched? I could load my copy of Sword up later on today and see if I can grab one for you unless you've already gotten one by now?

Might get round to starting my Polteagiest only run when I can get the cracked/chipped pot without getting to gym 5 once the items are given via mystery gift.

Just dawned on me as well that the Pokemon company normally do their own thing towards the end of May (which would have been the ideal time to give a date for Isle of Armor and a few other bits) but guess that might not be happening now? Reckon we'll just get a tweet/press release early to mid June with the date. I'm kind of hoping we won't be able to take any Pokemon with us so it's kind of like a fresh start, or if you can they have to be under a certain level so you can't just steamroll your way through it quickly.

Nah they have all their stupid tiers and gooseberry fool. I have fun beating 'meta' (lazy) teams with my own team.

Plus if people don't play on the actual cart they have far less incentive to fix the online and I wont earn any in game items.

I’ll have a look for one tomorrow afternoon/evening, going to finally get around to loading up and starting Xenoblade Chronicles soon! Hopefully won’t take long to find one though as I think it’s a 50% hold rate or something rather high.

Double post but I’ve just been on and caught Far’fetched with a leek so can trade it to you when it’s good for you, not sure if I have you as a friend but my code is SW-5204-3145-1536.
