You can now get all three starters with their hidden abilities if you transfer a Pokémon over to Home and then load up the Home mobile app and go to the Mystery Gift section.

isnt leki british slang for electric? rather apt i thought

Whether that's the case or not, there's still one e too many. Honestly should knock that middle one out to make Regileki.

Beat the first gym last night, I love the whole completing missions on the way to meeting the gym leader and the whole stadium fights. I completely forgot about Pokemon disobedience depends on what level they are/badges you have. My Raboot is level 23 and after wiping out the first of Milo’s Pokemon he literally would not fight for me at all

I’ll have to go easy on the levelling in case it happens again.

People who play on Showdown are weird.

So I beat the 33rd best person in the world and managed to climb to rank 800 in the world (by beating Tyranitar and Excadrill)

I use an unconventional team so I ask on a showdown orientated discord group what they thought of my team.

Like 3 different people said it was bad and said it didn't have answers to certain things(like Tyranitar and Excadrill  ) or had no synergy, and then when I explained the answers and synergy it had they basically just said I got lucky and wouldn't do as well on showdown.

Then they kept saying stupid gooseberry fool like "If you set rain Chandelure is useless" while ignoring the fact that there would be no reason for me to do that.

They were basically trying to say only the Top 100 people that play on Cart are any good, when there are well over 200,000 who play on a regular basis. Which just seemed like they were trying to gate keep to me, since this stranger came along and questioned their understanding of the game.

Sorry I know no one will understand a word of this :slol: just wanted to rant

Direct tomorrow at 2pm BST, guessing the DLC might go live after it has finished?

Have they actually announced which Pokémon will be exclusive to which version? I’ll definitely be up for trading Shield DLC exclusives for the Sword ones (really don’t feel like buying the DLC twice ), hoping there will be an Isle of Armor section in the dex so getting a living dex for the DLC is a bit easier. Watch them say half of the legendary Pokémon are exclusive to one :fp: basically taunting me into buying both!

I’m 7 badges down on this now, going to wrap up the main story this week before I move onto the first DLC pack. Still loving this game, the towns look really cool, I loved the snowy one with the hot springs

I guess it would have been too hard for them to speed up the walk animation a bit.

How is this series so lazy?

Other pokemon do keep up, so it depends on the specific choice of follower

Yes, but Dragapult is really fast in-battle so that particular example is kinda ridiculous.

I know. But what's the point of letting you use any Pokémon if a lot of them can't keep up?

No other Pokémon game has had this issue when you could have a follower.

It just seems like something they threw in at the last minute because it barely take any work.

I hope this game is half arsed because it's a new system and everything. If the next game feels this unfinished they can bugger off.

Some pokemon in Let's Go couldn't keep up either I don't think

It is silly though, think someone points out in the comments that Digimon does it a lot better

To be fair there are a lot of things Cyber Sleuth did better than S&S, as well as several things it did worse.

Pokémon should be doing everything better though. It's one of the biggest franchises on earth, yet they treat the games like they're indie projects.

The level of polish doesn't even come close to first party Nintendo stuff. It's actually appalling.

Has anyone got round to starting the DLC then? Not got round to its myself, tempted to leave it a while before cracking on with it (still got 3 other games on the go currently with another already in the backlog) but would like to know how it is, decent length to it?

No they don’t come close to the polish of other first party Nintendo games, they’re still very enjoyable games to play but you get the feeling they could be better considering the money the franchise prints on an almost constant basis.

Oh yes, don’t get me wrong, I agree. S&S were, are, good fun, but they’re also obviously rushed and nowhere near the games they could be. I far prefer Sun & Moon, which I thought were pretty polished.

Being a huge media franchise works against the game development in setting unmovable deadlines

The apparent lack of resources is always disappointing though
