I think they’re giving a free month (or at least a free month to transfer from Bank) when it first comes out anyway. Not sure how it’ll manage transferring potentially thousands of Pokémon across on a premium subscription to them drop down to basic with a limit of 30 though?

I love that home doesn't even back up your sword and shield pokemon.

So if your console ever dies you still basically lose all of the pokemon still on your console.

That’s not the fault of Home in my opinion, more on whoever isn’t allowing cloud saves for the games (much like Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee). I don’t recall Bank did it either, long term my plan is to try and get a living Dex onto Home, just trying to get the dex complete on Shield before moving onto Sword so I can start piecing it together once Home comes out.

Also I can’t recall who/when it was posted but that version exclusive trading link code tweet has worked wonders so far, just trying to get a spare of each currently via breeding and catching but I’m hoping by the end of the day my dex should very nearly be done :toot: Only one I’m not going to trade is Zamazenta for Zacian, I’ll just wait till Home is out and I can transfer mine in from Sword.

Edit, obviously the GTS will be loads better when it’s implemented via Home but we really shouldn’t have to wait for it to be mind as it really should have been in from the off.

TBFm bumping the price up an extra £10 they could add least add the feature of backing up your mon.

Oh yeah they definitely should, just saying it’s not solely a Home issue.

Anyone know if you can catch Milotic in the wild? Spent ages getting happiness up with a Feebas only to look and find out its now changed to a trade evolution :fp:

Yes, they can be seen in the final Wild Area location (is it called Lake of Outrage?) with the rock circle - you have to cross a lake to get to it, and there's usually evolutionary stones by each rock. When it rains, you can sometimes find a Milotic swimming around the lake itself i.e. not on land. It isn't a random battle, in that you'll know you're fighting Milotic, because you'll collide with Milotic to start the battle, if that makes sense.

So very nearly got this done today :D

Currently sat on 393, been in touch with someone to get the last few trade evolutions I need out of the way so after that it’ll just be Zacian I need from my run of Sword.

Edit, Done!!! 83 hours and 21 minutes.

Person had a Zacian I could borrow as well to get the data for, now to play through Sword :toot: or grind out max raids and try my hand at the battle tower in Shield.

83 hours to get the dex done? What.took you so long? I don't mean it in a dickish way, I'm just wondering if you've been spending time breeding or shiny hunting or team building or something like that.

Honestly I have no idea :slol:

Finished my run of the game at 50 hours, since then I’ve just been adding to the dex slowly, breeding extra ones to trade for the Sword exclusive Pokémon which added a little bit of time. Spent an hour at the digging due just mashing the A button to get the other fossils. Suppose I got sidetracked doing max raids for probably around 10 or so hours, was expecting to get a load of exp candy from that but only enough to get 3 Pokémon up to level 100 :( Raids also take an annoying amount of time as for 5 star ones you need other players or to get lucky with your crappy ai counterparts actually attacking rather than using stat moves so often they took a couple of tries.

Home looks like a real rip-off for me, particularly with the restrictions on pokemon allowed in Sw/Sh.

Let’s hope they take the sensible option and actually distribute all event Pokémon via WiFi from this generation onwards, they still had some walk in ones for Sun/Moon didn’t they?

mostly for shinies that are locked in game and otherwise unavailable hidden abilities i think most of the unique pokemon were over wi-fi

Good to hear, although with the DLC it looks like the second pack will be having a lot of legendary Pokémon in there, so hopefully getting older legendary Pokémon won’t be a big issue.

I just try to catch all the legendary ones in standard Poké balls anyway, no real point to it but it makes me happy.

Not sure why but I’m quite liking just grinding out stuff from the raid battles, not quite sure why Lapras seems to show up every other battle though as I don’t think it’s the current event (?) Pokémon for the raids.
