The new Pokemon in this game are kinda weird.

and do you see the weirdness as a good thing or a bad thing?

I think Applin is great

Anyone know when the mobile version of Home is coming out anyway? Noticed that the Switch version is now out but was expecting them both to come out together?

Hell naw! One of the reasons I love playing these games is the new designs. I think Sun and Moon had some killer designs, I've been impressed by what my team are evolving into.

For all the criticisms the games have got (including from me), the new designs have been very good.

Wasn't keen on Yamper, but the evolution is cool looking though. Same with that derpy turtle, his second evolution looks kickass. Glad I stuck with both those monsters.

I love Yamper  Hope he doesn't evolve into anything too grim. Called mine Cheddar at the moment :shifty:

Sobble's first evolution is rubbish, though. Just reminds me of Orin from Parks and Recreation.

Went exploring in the wild area as I'm waiting to do the first gym, got to the second city and the guy on the door just turned me away. #rude

I was a big Yamper fan, but its evolution is THE BEST BOY/GIRL and I love it. Derpy turtle is bobbins. Sobble-2 is meh but Sobble-3 makes up for it. Applin’s evolution likewise makes up for the rejected Banjo-Kazooie NPC.

This has been Balladeer’s Fun Fact Pokémon Corner.

That’s what I presumed people were talking about. It is my worst new 'Mon, beating out Impidimp.

Pokémon Home is now available on both Switch and mobile. Pokémon Bank will be free for the next month.

Is Home free initially? IIRC its price is absurd.

Think it's just a free tier that lets you keep 30 pokemon in a box.

I'm curious to see how this works for me. I've only just beat the first gym, and I have ones from Omega Ruby and Moon that I want to transfer. The ones I have in Omega Ruby, some of them are from a gen 3 save file.

I don't want to buy the sub either.

If you want to transfer anthing over from Bank, you have to have a premium subscription. You can buy a months subscription for £2.69 so so I can take advantage of the free month of Bank and transfer over everything that can be transferred.

If you have a Cosmog or Cosmoem, it will evolve into a Solgaleo in Sword and a Lunala in Shield which is perfect for me as Lunala is the only legendary from the previous games that I didn't have.

You can transfer over the following Pokémon:

Bulbasaur
Ivysaur
Venusaur
Squirtle
Wartortle
Blastoise
Mewtwo
Mew
Celebi
Jirachi
Cobalion
Terrakion
Virizion
Reshiram
Zekrom
Kyurem
Keldeo
Rowlet
Dartrix
Decidueye
Litten
Torracat
Incineroar
Popplio
Brionne
Primarina
Cosmog
Cosmoem
Solgaleo
Lunala
Necrozma
Marshadow
Zeraora
Meltan
Melmetal

You can also tranfer over all hat variants of Pikachu and anything in Sword?Shield that has a another regional form.

When you download the Home mobile app you can choose a Squirtle, Charmander or Bulbasaur.

Decided to finally get around to starting my quick(ish) run of my copy of Sword that was essentially a freebie.

Planned out a more ‘classic’ team of the following,

Gyarados
Gengar
Pikachu
Umbreon
Noctowl
Flygon

Once I’ve got my run of Sword out of the way I’ll sort out a living dex then get stuff transferred over to Pokémon Home.

Downloaded Pokemon home on phone and switch and paid for one month - just to give it a go.
Literally no idea what I'm doing with it lol.

I thought I could dump all my pokemon from my Pokemon Go save (which I don't play anymore) onto home and then onto sword.
Apparently I can't.

So, I've paid £2.69 for a Squirtle.

strawberry floating lol. But this is my own fault for not really understanding what Home is. YOLO LMAO
