They’ve said their done on 3DS with the mainline series I believe.

So are they classing LGPE as core games or not? They certainly seem to be missing some of the core games mechanics (such as battling wild Pokemon rather than just catching them) but they still look like a core game to me (well maybe more or a spin off), more like a stop gap before the 2019 games so they can test the waters on the Switch.

well its most likely gen 8, and sounds like first of the new pokemon may be in lets go

nintendo uk said that the pokemon games they teased last year's e3 are the ones due late next year

I'm quite excited to see a Pokémon game with graphics that look close to emulating the anime series, especially with Switch being a massive step up from the 3DS

I can’t imagine we will see Pokemon 2019 until this time next year.

So is the core group of Gamefreak working on this and a B team working on Let’s Go? I really hope they go large scale with this one with multiple regions to visit and tons of content to explore and find

well the last couple gens were revealed around january so i dont think we will

Would be nice to get some kind of teaser at E3, otherwise what was the point of mentioning it at all?

The Let's Go! games are near-core spin-offs the same as the Gamecube games were.
The real meat of the Switch 'mon games are the 2019 games, which hopefully get the full year of advertising seen with the last few generation openers. And I'm hoping they prove to be great experiences.

I doubt we'll see the 2019 games at this E3, firstly as Nintendo normally only talk about titles that are months away from release and secondly, it'd take away from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee news and excitement.

As a game to tide us over till the main games come in 2019 I think the new games will be fine, I can see the 2019 game keeping some of the features from Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee though.

couldn't see the remakes far enough, but interested to see what they do with the real games. Gen 7 felt like a massive breath of fresh air back into the franchise, with some of the most enjoyable gameplay in recent times. The totems were often anticlimactic and the game as a whole felt relatively unchallenging, but I guess that's better than spending ten hours dicking around in Victory Road because you've hit a ridiculous wall thats out of proportion with your team to that point. Hopefully they can fine tune that approach to a point where the challenge is there, but not in an off-putting way.

Zero chance of Pokémon 19 at E3 in my opinion. Just not how Game Freak roll.
