It's so bizarre to see Pokemon with "non-chibi" graphics. The parts in XY that swapped to those graphics always looked pretty neat, and it seems that they're happily breaking entirely from the grid-based design of the previous games. It should lead to some pretty interesting environments!

The camera change looks great and makes it feel like the 3D adventure that people have wanted since Pokémon Stadium. Unfortunately, it did seem to slow down a bit and some textures looked bad, even though I was watching it on my phone.

Overall, I'm very excited for the new adventure :toot: I've even checked to see on which day 18th November falls. It's a Friday and I'm tempted to take the day off for a long weekend of Pokémon, especially as Zelda has been delayed to next year :shifty:

Fire Cat Who Will Definitely Gain a Dark Type in Final Evolution is the obvious choice.

Oh and seal dog if you're, you know, seven.

I've come around to seal dog since I watched this, because his stupid face reminds me of my own dog's stupid face.

I'm a fire starter* though and always have been, so unlucky seal dog.

Twisted firestarter.

I got my two eldest kids Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire last Christmas. There's a song in there somewhere.

I haven't played Pokemon since the original Ruby, I've got to say that the new games seem very sumptuous in comparison.

I think I shall return to Pokemon with Sun & Moon, maybe some kind of bundle. Mind you, it depends a bit on what NX does/is and if there will be any cross-platform shenanigans.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Out of all the supposed evolution 'leaks', this is my favourite. Litten's whiskers.

Has anyone watched this series yet? My current favourite on YouTube.

Nah, they're gooseberry fool. Especially the Litten evolution... Stay on all fours pls, we don't need more fire/fighting.

Litten evolution is going to be Fire/Ground and Popplio Water/Fighting according to an interesting leak found on the official Japanese site. Check youtube, Something to do with hidden assets on the site.

Was talking about this with Corazon the other day. In the spirit of the excellent Brandon Plays Pokemon series that Easy Allies are doing, we're intending on going into these new games as blind as possible. For too long it's just been accepted that we keep up with all the new revealed designs and gameplay footage, would be nice to experience a new generation completely fresh (well, as fresh as is possible for people that have been playing the series for 20 years).

I always feel the same way and before each new set of games I always say I'll see the starters and the legendary Pokemon and that's it. It would, admittedly, be quite hard to grab hold of the game and open it from its plastic sealing if I wasn't allowed to see the legendary 'mom on the box art.

Every time, I end up being weak and lapping up everything as it's unveiled. I try and justify it to myself and say that I want to pick a starter and have it look horrendous, or end up with a derpy team of Vanilluxes, and Trubbishes.

Maybe this time I can actually do it...
