You’d think they’d have the audio recordings to justify it themselves.

It's pretty interesting. You would expect any interview to be recorded. It's either a sit down on camera job, over a web cam, telephone or in personal to an audio device. You wouldn't just have someone asking a set of questions and then saying 'hold on a second i just need to write down what you said' like you are at school or something. So firstly if it happened then johnson should have known he was being recorded so him denying it would be a stupid move. The fact that the Daily Star haven't come straight out and said it did happen here's the proof makes me suspect that DJ is telling the truth. It's radio silence from the Star at the moment, i can't see what would be holding them up releasing the footage or audio recording.

Are they for rape and murder of children? Seems a difficult platform to argue.

Talking of the Guardian, the paper now costs £2.20 during the week, £3.20 on the weekend. A quite astonishing amount of money were you to buy it every day throughout the year. The Sun has also put their prices up (75p on Saturday; £1.20 on Sunday).

£2.20? Jeez, no wonder their readership is so low.

£2.20 for a paper that's also full of adverts? Ridiculous.

I suppose it's cheaper to just make up your own stories

If you were to read it every day, you'd presumably have a subscription and therefore be paying half that.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

It's so rare for me to see somebody reading a paid-for newspaper on transport these days. Everyone is either flicking through the Metro or Evening Standard, a few you'll see reading a book, and everyone else is on their phone/tablet/laptop. And then there's the proper weirdos like me who look out the window.

Paxo stuffing has gone off on one to the Telegraph...

Telegraph wrote:Jeremy Paxman says MPs who complain about abuse outside Parliament are 'snowflakes'

Television correspondents, journalists and MPs who complain about abuse outside Parliament are "snowflakes" television presenter Jeremy Paxman has said.

Mr Paxman made the comments after it emerged that Parliament is considering new broadcasting points inside the Palace of Westminster to MPs and journalists do not have to go to the temporary media village outside and risk being heckled.

They could be filmed in future on the roof of Parliament, in the terrace pavilion over looking the River Thames and in New Palace Yard in the shadow of the Elizabeth Tower which houses Big Ben.

"Have we really got such a bunch of snowflakes in Parliament that they can’t face hearing from the people who pay their wages?”

Anna Soubry was branded both a “liar” and a “Nazi” while Owen Jones was called a “tampon”, “a horrible little liar” and a “disgrace”.

I presume they haven't made this interview up like the Star...

I’d imagine most newspapers use recycled paper.

Still uses energy to make the paper and recycling it again. Not having at all is better than reusing it.

And apps don’t use energy?

Just ban newspapers. They’re all gooseberry fool anyway.

Energy can be renewable, and paper is a lot more recyclable than all the rare metal components inside phones ;)

If you've been KK's annual ABC figures threads then we won't have to ban them in a few years.
