It's great news that the Brexit Party didn't win a seat though no matter how close it was. :toot:

Plus it's where the Brexit Party votes came from which is the key thing. In this case it looks to be mostly from Conservatives at around 25% and about 4% share from Labour, splitting the right wing vote right down the middle which is good for our FPTP system. It's when a huge chunk of Labour votes go to TBP that I worry as that will be what would allow for a Con/TBP coalition.

Turn out was down again. Hopefully in an actual election turn out would jump 20% making it even harder for them.

It's genuinely infuriating watching Corbynites on various media platforms crowing about this "stunning" victory with a huge increase in majority :fp:

I'm just happy that BP didn't win. Their vote share is very concerning but it's still a loss and will hopefully undermine their credibility.

Farage turning up to gloat and then running away out the back door when it was a loss is great

Reasons for the ruling will be revealed at a later date, hm, I wonder what the judge will come up with.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon has been caught on video punching a football fan at the already embarrassing England v Netherlands match in Portugal. Video at the link: https://www.dailyfail.co.uk/news/articl ... l#comments. Yaxley-Lennon claims this individual was being abusive.

If there were consequences for politicians deliberately lying, Tony Blair would have been in the dock long ago.

Yaxley-Lennon claims a lot of things and his supporters will always believe him.

He patently aware of the demographics of the Tory party. Pity it means they'll be extinct as a party within a generation.

Yep. It says a lot that the most 'progressive' of the Tory leadership candidates is specifically appealing to horrible old banana splits who think all society's ills could be solved by bringing back the cane.

But that's the vote he has to appeal to if it goes to the party members (and Denny of course, as the North's sole representative).

strawberry floating Tories man. If it weren't for the fact they're rapidly being subsumed by something far worse in the form of the Brexit party their slow demise under May would be cathartic as strawberry float.
