I don’t understand the point of it, Mail readers wouldn’t vote for Corbyn, Corbyn voters wouldn’t read the Mail. It’s like slagging off Liverpool in a Man U fanzine, you’re only preaching to the converted.

I guess the headlines and media coverage will spread the anti-Corbyn message a little further, but politics is so tribal now that I can’t see it swaying many people either way.

It’s consolidating their viewership, they can’t just convince the gooseberry fool heads, they have to keep up the tide of crap to keep them thinking “the right way” otherwise over time the shitheadery will erode in the more normal of their readers and eventually see sense, so they need to keep it up to keep the people convinced.

I get that they are giving their readers what they want, but it seems the most pointless of hatchet jobs, “hey guess what? That guy you hate? He’s a bastard!”. Wooo big scoop.
