This behaviour is totally unacceptable and falls well below the high standards the Army expects

Clearly what they mean is that not enough shots hit the target :shifty:

n.b to MI5 (or is it 6) this is a sarcastic comment, i am not a terrorist.

I'm sure our intelligence services would be fine with you killing Corbyn.

What we have is evidence of soldiers shooting targets of Corbyn. Following that the Army itself said it is unacceptable.

You are right that with all of the context it might be even worse than it looks, but I fail to see how any context is going to make it better. If more context would make it better, then the Army wouldn’t have said it was unacceptable.

Still you seem to mistakenly think I am saying that context could make it "acceptable".

I don't have to look far in the replies to that tweet to find responses that could be clear overreacitons depending on missing context, like this or this. That second reply is a great example of someone assuming the soldiers specifically printed off a poster of Corbyn in order to shoot at it!

We're slinging vulnerable people into hideous slums

twitter.com/mattcprecey/status/1113323975369793536

This country desperately needs more council housing, and to do something about all the unoccupied properties that exist out there, purely as financial investments, whilst the less well off are forced into slums or left homeless.

We should, but we wont.

After all it might upset all the retired people in Surrey who worked hard for their £2million properties (that they bought for £15k in 1985). Why shouldn’t a hedge fund manager own 3 holiday homes (that he never visits), he worked hard to crash the economy in 2008! And if people don’t want to live in slums or on the streets, then they should get a damn job working 1 hour a week for Uber or Deliveroo.

Things like that belong in Judge Dredd comics not real-life UK in 2019. Sounds horrendous.

To be fair to them we don't know if they were actually doing it because they hate or Corbyn or they had a poster hanging around and thought it'd be funny to shot that famous bloke off the telly. I was in the OTC when I was at uni and I remember one week we put on pictures of celebs on the firing range and shot at them because we thought it was funny. Don't think I would have been dumb enough to put footage of it on the internet if I'd filmed it, but there was no youtube or video phones back then anyway.

Yeah there’s no evidence of the Army being increasingly attracted to far right ideas.

You may have a point also all the para regiments are a bunch of well known dickheads in the army. It's basically dickheads who dream of being in the SAS but aren't good enough to join. I was told that the army keeps the regiments apart because the thing they like most is kicking the gooseberry fool out of each other.

I know there are other more urgent matters at the moment, but we really need to make the Lords stand for election. It’s just ridiculous.
