Now that she's a party leader it gives her an unfair advantage over other party leaders. Even if she didn't say a single thing about the elections it increases her visibility to the public in a way not covered by traditional campaigning.
It was the correct choice.

I'd be interested to see what model they've used because looking at the detailed map, the Tories will only have a handful of safe seats. It also suggests Labour are potentially less affected by the Brexit Party than the Tories are in the areas ardent supporters throw up as being the reason why the party can't back what the members want.

Have been to the Isle of Wight it seems unlikely that place is like a 1950's time warp. But looking at the last election results the Greens came third with 12915 and the Cons won with 38190. So it seems pretty unlikely but not impossible.
