He said a few years ago, when UKIP were being built up because of their increased exposure, that he "loved UKIP stirring it up" and would listen to them.

While it’s a stretch to suggest that proves he outright supported UKIP in 2013 or now, it’s pretty friendly language whichever way you look at it.

I'm wondering if she's referring to this,

Jamie Oliver Praises Ukip For 'Stirring It Up'

Wasn't he a Remainer during the EU referendum? I'd guess he doesn't have much time for UKIP these days.

I don't think he was really 'supporting' UKIP, it seems like he was more saying that because of UKIP the political landscape of the day was undergoing a change, which it certainly was in the run up to the 2015 GE.

The issue is more that Dawn Butler thinks Jamie Oliver is a banana split. ;)

He was described as very punch-able at a quiz I attended last Thursday, although it was a quiz in Essex.

People from Essex don't have any right to describe anybody as punch-able after inflicting TowiE on the rest of the world.

He is, but not for any of the reasons mentioned.

If it's got jerk seasoning in it then I think its fair to call it jerk rice, it might not be an authentic recipe but really who gives a strawberry float, other than some nobody trying to make a name for themselves by stirring gooseberry fool up.

She's not the only one to have a food based pop on social media. Christmas Crooner and TV handyman Nick Knowles-positively-fuck-all has been slagging off some independent sandwich shop for being too busy. Presumably no other outlet was available.

Apparently it's not actual Jerk seasoning. They are using Jalapenos and garlic when jerk is scotch bonnet and all spice.

The funny thing is that I bet Jamie Oliver had nothing to do with this product, he's just licensed his name out.

Chef Rustie Lee has tried it and says it just tastes like Caribbean rice and beans.

Apparently it retails for £2.35. Expensive, then.

It's pretty funny that people are getting worked up over this. On the flipside, I guess if this kind of shite is making the news then it can't mean there's much else going on (i.e. nothing that's actually bad).

Yep, the fact that this is even considered 'news' is ridiculous.

Why do you decide what's important enough to be news or be "worked up over"?

I wonder if Jamie Oliver will soon be called out for appropriation over his 'Italian' restaurant chain?
