This ambassador thing is an indication of how a future relationship with America is going to go. Badly.

Only so long as Trump remains in power, you'd hope. Hopefully he either loses or dies and his replacement (your common garden variety politician) just does a bit of a reset to normal diplomacy.

Fingers crossed :dread:

Unfortunately under a No Deal Brexit this will be the new normal even if Trump loses power. We will be dependent on America and will have no choice but to grovel at their feet.

Apparently the ambassador resigned after Boris specifically refused to back him during the debates. Considering it was likely either the Boris or Farage camps that leaked the memos in the first place, it's hardly surprising but it's also strawberry floating sickening.

We thought May was bad. Boris is going to be a literal disaster.

I’ve said for a long time that May is the worst ever PM. But the one after her would be worse.

I’d be stunned if Johnson, Johnson’s people or a Johnson supporter wasn’t involved in the leak somehow.

"Politicians working together" in an official group is a party; therefore not independents.

A Whitehall source told The Times: "The involvement of hostile state actors has not been ruled out"

Old news, buts it really is a sad time when "hostile state actors" are from the UK itself.

Yeah but if they are a party there are rules about funding, and spending and whatever. As an independent group you don’t have those rules.
