As an aside, she used to write sporadically for the Official Xbox Magazine, which was the first time I'd ever heard of her. One of the titles she reviewed was The Urbz. :dread:

I'm just waiting for the Harry Potter woman to saying something and end up getting her account suspended on Twitter.

Ew.

Not even a now situation.

Labour relaxed gambling advertising 15 years ago. Gambling should not be treated like a normal product / service. The amount of advertising on TV (and YouTube) is ridiculous. I'm sure kids must pester their parents to put bets on because it's so normalised with adverts on during football matches. Having something like that normalised for kids is bound to increase gambling problems in young adults.

On a side note, I didn't realise how much more regulated gambling/betting was in the USA, it's really only very recently that it has a lot of deregulation with lots of large UK betting companies looking to enter the market.

Who is Laurie Penny, who are GCs, and why am I asking questions that will only hurt me to know the answers?

No idea who Laurie Penny is.

GC = gender critical = TERF = trans exclusionary radical feminist = transphobe

Why are you asking = no idea

Cheers boss. TERF I was aware of, unfortunately. Who knew that there were so many different homonyms for 'c*nt'?

Liz Truss: This is great news and will help us sign an all important trade deal with the Roman Empire.

It will certainly help with getting a job selling auxiliary speakers in Currys.

I'm pretty sure that all Liz Truss does is pitches insane ideas that only appeal to the Tory diehards, gets mass press and then not even implement them. It's just political games.

That's thanks to people like anti gambling campaigner Tom Watson. It's not really a surprise that Labour have gone back to pro gambling since the leadership change

Apparently Starmer just ruled out any coalitions before or after the next election.

Any chance of a Progressive Alliance is therefore dead.

Tory rule for another decade then

Not the decision I wanted but at least he's committing to a position early.

Could still happen afterwards in certain scenarios even if he's ruling it out now too.
