Pretty sure I can already influence quite a few things in that outer ring, just generally not in a positive way!

That's a great way to turn it on its head.

The general principle is popular in a range of success literature, but I find it also helps with anxiety.

The actual things in the rings vary a great deal of course.

Edit: We should absolutely post some example superpowered people from this patented GRcade creation

Yeah I reckon it's a helpful principle.

I am also now writing a soon-to-be-hit comic about Traffic Man and Public Transport Boy trying to defeat a villain who can control the outcome of most court cases.

I'm pretty sure the lesson is going to be "Yes you can, and still be Prime Minister".

She's in a train. I'm not sure what the context for this image is but banging on about profits being 100% OK without conditions after Mike Lynch & RMT where calling out excess profits while withholding payrises is pretty ironic. Or perhaps she's suggesting she's showing up to work.

How is the cap actually decided/calculated?

This is probably the best quick explanation:

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utili ... 36620245-9

Basically it’s mostly based on the wholesale cost of energy suppliers have to pay, which has been highly volatile in the past year, plus a bunch of more comparitively static costs like network maintenance and operating costs.

There seems to be a big problem as the energy cap doesn't apply to companies. So a lot of small companies could go bust putting people out of work.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

You’d end up with companies tanking the wholesale costs (WONT SOMEBODY THINK OF THE SHAREHOLDERS?!?) or the government footing the bill which might lead to a further squeeze on the profits of the gas suppliers to offset the additional spending.

The price cap was originally put in place to protect customers from the energy cartel charging whatever it liked on variable rate tariffs https://amp.theguardian.com/money/2017/ ... ergy-bills

If Ofgem didn’t act the way the government wanted they could easily disband it and put in a new puppet organisation that would.
