I literally just flicked over to it for 2 mins to see if they'd sorted some of their production issues. In that time they threw to the wrong clip, made that spelling mistake...... and I'm not kidding, as I'm writing this they just threw to another studio guest without a mic switched off. And back to Dan Wooton who didn't have his mic on either. This is an absolute cluster. Hilarious!

The sound is all over the place, the guest now has her mic on absolute max sensitivity!

I love botches, especially when some big names are getting egg on their face.

Edit: New segment "What the Farage". Which is close to what I said when he came through the TV absolutely blaring at the loudest mic volume ever.

There is going to be a really, really good clip show of this cluster strawberry float at some point.

Edit 2: I can't stop watching. They have this crazy woman on now talking about Meghan and Harry with a dog on her lap, which is covering her mic. Honestly this is one the the most hilarious news channels of all time.

Watching it right now. Jesus, it's dull. And the sound is gooseberry fool, like I thought people were maybe being hyperbolic, but the mix is all over the place.

Edit - this woman is strawberry floating mental.

Edit - This has zero structure. Such a bizarre format.

This is gammon topic whackamole. Harry and Meghan, anti lockdown messaging and Shamina strawberry floating Begum in the 20 minutes I've watched it.

Edit - This is great, I love it

I haven't watched any of it, but apparently they've read out messages today from Mike Hunt and Mike Oxlong.

It just veers from one topic to the next without any kind of explanation.

Also Darren Grimes stupid rant about some 'leftie' on Twitter. strawberry float sake. Turned it off after that. Dreadful.

They just tried to talk to someone over zoom and he hadn't noticed it had connected, so he's just sitting there messing with his hair and straightening his tie  It's weird how cheap it all looks. Even the rolling headlines and everything just look like a bad college project.

I really hope people aren't, you know, actually watching this? Because if I was a new channel that relies on eyes-on advertising and word of mouth this is very much the play I'd be using, Mike Hunts and all.

tl:Dr - don't watch, don't engage, don't disseminate. Just ignore.

That's what I was thinking. There's no need to actually watch this gooseberry fool, the "highlights" are all over social media anyway.

You can’t have an informed opinion about the channel and its output without watching it.

I'm pretty sure we can. We can see who owns it, who presents on it, who guests on it. We can see the programme titles. We can see the clips and hear the reports of what it has been saying/discussing.

I don't need to eat a gooseberry fool sandwich to know it will taste like gooseberry fool.

You absolutely can. Just knowing who's on it and that it has a section entirely about Cancel Culture is all I ever needed to form an opinion.

Don't worry. the advertisers are already fleeing:
Ikea, Octopus Energy, cider firm Kopparberg, and other brands have withdrawn advertising from GB News after the channel's launch on Sunday.

Kopparberg said the advert ran "without our knowledge" and it was undertaking a review of the channel's content.

Octopus said it would only run ads in future if the news channel proved "genuinely balanced".
