Yep let's get a Victorian in to deal with a plague, that'll go well.

I initially read that as...

...and speaking arrangements to ruin the country.

Still, how will they ever carrie on? Sounds like BJ will now have to bring an old carrier bag to Aldi, though maybe I'm just getting too carried away...

Be fair. Having 263 kids means you have to pay for a lot of nannies.

Oh noes, not the rich people wondering if they have enough money for a nanny. I don’t know how they will cope on £150,000 a year. What will they do

That’s brightened my day up, a rich overpaid ponce been bothered about been short of money. Good times :toot:

Welcome to the real world. Prick.

Most Prime Ministers and Presidents in modern times do very well on the speaking circuit and other deals (autobiographies) and I’m sure Boris will be no different.

He’s definitely the type though that burns through his money at the rate he earns it.

Don't really know if it belongs here but who would have though if you don't bother prosecuting a company for massive fraud they don't magickly become better.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54225572

HSBC allowed fraudsters to transfer millions of dollars around the world even after it had learned of their scam, leaked secret files show.

Britain's biggest bank moved the money through its US business to HSBC accounts in Hong Kong in 2013 and 2014.

Its role in the $80m (£62m) fraud is detailed in a leak of documents - banks' "suspicious activity reports" - that have been called the FinCEN Files.

HSBC says it has always met its legal duties on reporting such activity.

The files show the investment scam, known as a Ponzi scheme, started soon after the bank was fined $1.9bn (£1.4bn) in the US over money laundering. It had promised to clamp down on these sorts of practices.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

All I get from that is that I should open up an HSBC account and start scamming. :datass:

They need to put a stop to this Christmas BS that’s coming out now, because I can’t see anyone following it.

The more pressing matter of these stories of ‘Boris considering cancelling rule of 6 for Christmas Day only

Is it’s letting us know the rule of 6 isn’t going anywhere before 2021.

They might as well scrap the rule of 6 for Christmas. It's going to be ignored on a massive scale.

And do the Tories want to be known as the party that cancelled Christmas?

Seriously I left HSBC after the cartel stuff came out a few years ago. It's up to you though.

Reading the main story about this banking scandal, why on earth are we allowing access to serving PMs for huge donations? I naively thought that would be completely banned!
