Apparently he said “Herr Junker is in the bunker” and I couldn’t bring myself to read any more.

That would have looked crazy and far fetched at the time.

Now it looks too tame.

I don't think I ever quite forgave Mayall for reprising Alan B'Stard for the No 2 AV campaign

That whole referendum is another critical little bit of history fallen down the memory hole - an eerie precursor of Brexit; Cameron's initial insouciance, the weaponised cynicism on one side and the establishment complacency on the other.

What is THIS

If not a trial run for THIS??

(and in both cases anyone who might have been the responsible regulator - the EC, the ASA - just shrugged and declined to involve themselves)

I don’t understand that. There’s ample space with one, erm, space.

It’s from the age of typewriters when letters already had one space between them

The age that Rees-Mogg says is dangerously modern.

Well has he issued staff with typewriters? He’s half arsing it, then. Get the garb on as well. Let’s do the full Downton Abbey experience. There’s loads of these period reenactments in America where everyone dresses up and prances about like its old times n gooseberry fool.

He’d look great walking behind a carriage hearse pulled by a horse.

Worrying figures for Labour there but it’s probably due to the new leader bounce.

Interesting that even with the new leader bounce, Johnson can only draw with “don’t know”.

No, I think it's more due to Corbyn being unelectable. But don't worry, Labour will continue to plough this ridiculous furrow because being in opposition with Jeremy at the wheel is more important than winning an election. And no-one else in the party has any socialist policies, Jeremy has the monopoly.

Who is your pick for Labour leader? Are you a member? Not having a go (I'm not a member), just curious.
