Yet, when it comes to real life, these same Tory voters will, instead, champion these individuals.

Because a lot of voters are unpleasant themselves

Of course, but it's the disconnect that they have the ability to recognise a certain personality type in fiction as being something to be viewed negatively but are unable to view that same personality type in real life in the same way. Just the opposite, in fact.

Tory MP Shailesh Vara has been defending the prime minister, saying he thinks he has been "very open" and "honest" with the public, and has "apologised profusely" for "the mistakes that have been made".

Asked about the May 2020 party in No 10's garden, Vara says "it was work".

"Just because there was drink at a particular function, doesn't mean it wasn't work."

And what about that birthday party for the PM in June 2020?

After casting doubt on whether there was even a cake, Vara says those who gathered were "people who have been working together, day in day out, for weeks and weeks".

He says they "took a 10 minute break to wish the prime minister a happy birthday".

LMAO

the PM bullishly defended his record on, among other things, the vaccine rollout.

The fact he uses this as a defense makes him sound like Trump. He didn't personally do jack gooseberry fool, the NHS did the vaccine rollout. The same NHS him and his wretched people want to privatise. strawberry float em.

The British public prefer Afghans (dogs) to Afghans (people), so this could easily be a CON +4.

British public undecided on Afghans (rugs).

Munya is fantastic, one of the best things to come out of the pandemic. He has a channel 4 programme doesn't he? Is it any good, or does the bigger budget spoil his skits too much?

:simper:

That is actually an entirely normal thing when viewed out of context, but the sheer absurdity that has become of this entire farce means that it can only be interpreted as an establishment stitch up.
