Without getting in moral issues. It's just weird like at some level those jobs need to get done. Society would fall apart if everybody got better paid jobs as a lot of basic stuff wouldn't get done.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Or, get this: pay people on the lowest incomes far more than they currently earn - so that wage ratio in companies across the UK is closer to 50:1.

This has been another episode of Stugene Solves It. Thank you, goodnight.

The fact he requoted the original phrase suggests he isn't very sorry and wanted to repeat himself.

Not that he's wrong.

The strawberry floating obvious thing for any late stage capitalist to admit is that they know full well there are no more hours available because the employer wants the same or more amount of chargeable work rendered on those same minimal hours, on a minimal wage. Wealth disparity does not arise from sensible risk taking or talent or merit, it arises from multiplying wealth by exploiting whomever is below you and yet willing to be convinced they are worth {and only worth) a certain amount considerably below you.

Was that in response to Ofgem saying they might examine the price cap every 3 months rather than 6 months because the 6 month period was why so many suppliers went bust? (And to hell with all the people it protected from price hikes).

They tried justifying it by saying it'll allow prices to come down faster, but that's no use while prices are still going up.

Wasn't it a live interview? It's not like they had a chance to cut up what she said?
