Disgusting treatment of people who have been ostracised and left hung out to dry for countless years with threats of their livelihoods constantly from all angles.
I still remember how Katie Hopkins, Channel 4/5, Jeremy Kyle, and others made a solid living by publicly smearing claimants at every opportunity.
In an era when forms of hatred and discrimination such as racism and homophobia are rightly considered to be appalling, this still carried on largely unopposed, and a large proportion of the population even seemed to support it.
Remember Cameron's 2015 election cry? 6 billion in welfare cuts he promised, and the voting public said 'bring it on'.
