Starmer is a former QC - he is going to rip Boris apart every PMQs. Boris is basically a gooseberry fool witness

Is Starmer the Labour leader yet? :shifty:

I feel bad for Starmer, PMQs are such a none event at the moment with hardly anyone in there. He’s just not able to gain any momentum despite being so superior to Boris.

PMQs, like Question Time is infinitely better without crowds of dickheads baying and jeering

Yep. I think he’s holding back at the moment too.

He's useless. Any other leader would have overthrown the government and cured coronavirus by now.

They're a non event all the time. Just a load of worthless point scoring in the search of a good soundbite for the news that evening, to a background noise of pantomime heckling.

I think Starmer has to continue to play PMQs as an insisive deconstruction of govt policy and errors. He has to slowly reveal Boris to be incompetent. Trying to out soundbite him or get big digs in won't win as Boris is too good at that. He needs to just slowly focus in on all their mistakes, and try to repair Labour's reputation at the same time so that they look like they could govern.

Allison and her fiancé have a shared public Instagram account that they use to give their followers a glimpse into their life together in Chicago, often alongside the hashtags #love and #interracialcouple.

They’d grown accustomed to the occasional racist comment under their photos every now and then. But in early May, those comments started happening with more frequency, and took on a more sinister, even threatening tone — often containing references to obscure white supremacist or fedora-wearing misogynist memes.

Not what I wanted to read this morning.

Speaking on The National’s Not Another Fake News Cast podcast, Shahmir Sanni said Westminster held a deep dislike for Wales and Scotland and urged its citizens to seek independence “as soon as you can”.

“I’m totally pro-independence. I am totally pro-independence. They (the government) hate the Scottish,” he was recorded saying.

“This is what a lot of people don’t understand - they genuinely, genuinely do not like Scotland. The whole idea of Scotland they don’t like, and this is something I never understood because I grew up in Pakistan.

To be honest I think the New European is a bit too biased for my liking but an interesting claim non the less.

65 million people in the country and even with only needing 650 to run it, we still manage to pick Nadine Dorries. Doesn't say a great deal about the rest of us.

Insanely safe seat.

Though we almost got Raab this time. Potential 2024 Portillo moment :shifty:

It's not so much they shared far right stuff that worries me, it's that it was so blatantly edited that anyone with half a brain could see it was highly suspect. If I didn't know better, it would almost seem a trolling attempt against Tories as it was such blatant fakery.

The worrying thing is that we have politicians in Westminster who can't tell the difference. They vote on policy, but don't seem to have enough brain cells to be capable of making informed decisions.

I suspect they just don't care enough. They know that by sharing it, it instantly smears Starmer, and turns attention away from the utterly disgusting failings of this government.

The National isn’t exactly an unbiased bastion of reporting values either - I’d take that with a massive pinch of salt.

With that said, I don’t doubt that there is barely disguised contempt in some parts of parliament for the other countries in the UK.

Scotland, NI and Wales, if you get chance for independence or reunification again, my advice is to go for it. I'd be happier if I lived in a devolved administration.

I don't really understand unionists in NI. Why do they want to stick to the UK when Westminster has utterly utterly strawberry floated them in particular with Brexit.

The NI unionist seem to be incredibly corrupt and only really out for money.

You’re either Scottish or based in Scotland, aren’t you?

I didn't see the location in the profile. I don't know why I've always been under the impression CRD was up here somewhere.
