It doesn't make sense to not implement these changes, even from an economic perspective. People aren't going to buy new build flats if they can't trust the construction.

Tory land lords don't want the cost of upgrading their rentals.

Yeah but if nobody wants to rent your property it's not going to make you much money.

Have you seen the cost of buying and renting? If they undercut the competition they'll sell/let anything they want. People don't have much choice.

Plus, all these changes will put thousands on the cost of building those Rees-Mogg workhouses.

Apparently Mark Francois is no longer chair of the ERG and hasn't been back in Parliament. Literally no idea why. ;)

Hope he is OK, Boris should wish him well.

It's good that they suspended him so quickly.

But not suspended him enough so that he couldn't register a vote in the Grenfell legislation earlier this week...

I was being sarcastically they didn't suspend him immediately. Also if you're suspended from a party you're still an MP's they couldn't have stopped him voting.

It's just the turn around on "So what makes you think he'll make a good trade advisory" it's so beautiful and then the little, oh strawberry float look when he realises that he's just crawled out of one car and been thrown straight in front of another.

I cringed at the fact he seemed to think pointing out that the guys sister didn't think he was a homophobic misogynist somehow exonerated him of the charge. I mean regardless of her sexuality she's going to be a bit biased.
