There's no such thing as pure evil anyway.

Apart from that woman who put the cat in the bin obviously!

It does make you more eco friendly though since Pornhub plant a tree for every 100 videos watched.

I’ve planted a forest the size of the Amazon over just the last few days. :datass:

New documentary coming to Channel 5 from 2nd September at 9pm

Paxman: Why Are Our Politcians So Crap?

In an age where the British government seems either untrustworthy, ineffectual or comical, Jeremy Paxman hunts for answers as to how we got into this state.

Sure I read somewhere a while back that these sort of carbon offsetting schemes are mainly CSR things, and that the majority of trees actually planted die young or are never actually planted at all.

Could be out of date now, but it wouldn't surprise me.

It's standard for when planting a new forest for the majority of the saplings to die within the first few years. They usually plant them in high volume at close distance to account for this so it's not an issue, although it does mean these kind of offsetting schemes can be misleading, I suppose.

Brexit is going to turn us into a shittier version of America and Tory twats like Brandreth will cheer it on.

Goodbye holidays, goodbye NHS, goodbye food safety standards and goodbye employment rights.

But still at least we’ll be “free” eh?

Had a chat with someone yesterday who said that food shortages after Brexit would be good, because people are too fat. :simper:

The capitalist argument for Brexit has always been "the working class have it too easy!".

They are sociopaths, and they hate us. They won't be satisfied until we work an 112-hour week for them with no leave until we drop dead.

Tory think-tanks have been saying to slash statutory leave and raise the retirement age to 75 for ages now, that's the end-game for them.

Yeah the end game for these pricks is going to put us back to the Victorian age.

So many of their views come down to bollocks like “well I like working 115 hours a week so why shouldn’t everyone else”. There’s just strawberry float all awareness that some people don’t want to work that many hours or for a lot of people 115 hours a week would strawberry floating kill them.

Selfish sociopathic shitheads.

Does Giles Brandwidth (sic) actually work anywhere near 115 hours a week? The problem is his job isn't that hard. His not working as a builder or doing anything really physical so doesn't really understand what he's talking about.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

If my actual paying Lib Dem member housemate keeps going on about how Boris is playing a blinder with all this nonsense I might just have to throw him in front of a bus :fp:
