They won't, they'll come to an election pact with Johnson and take those northern seats that are close between Labour and the Tories (my constituency of Broxtowe for example). Labour will get shafted in non-metropolitan northern seats as this is purely going to be fought on Brexit.

I’m not convinced there will be a Tory/BP pact. Nigel is the sort that wants to pick up a fat salary and lots of donations, but he doesn’t really want to have to deal with reality.

Best thing for Nige would be for the country to Renain. He could then spend the rest if his life bitching about it and picking up cash.

Any attempt to subvert our democracy should be met with absolute entrenched resistance from the democratic process. It hugely worries me that to many people it isn't even a concern. Any vote for the Conservatives at this point is a vote for that very vote to be held meaningless.

One seat would be far too many.

Remember that the smart money is on the Tories doing worse than predicted now, pre-campaign. If they are predicted to lose seats now, there is real hope they will be decimated once the manifestos go out and the fair coverage rules kick in.

I'm expecting a hung Parliament and I don't foresee any help from the Lib Dems, so God knows what would happen when it came to forming a coalition, but there is actually some hope for Labour being the largest party.

The expectation up here seems to be another yellow wave, if not quite as all-encompassing as the one we got in 2015 - Swinson will lamentably keep her seat, as will David Mundell and a couple of Labour candidates(hopefully not the former schoolmate of mine who is the MP for Springburn and Dennistoun).

What I’d expect to happen in that case is that Labour will ultimately have to get into bed with the SNP to gain a majority, with the price being Indyref 2: Independence Harder. I’d then expect Scotland to be an independent nation by about 2025.

Had a bit of a moment there where it blew my mind that 2025 is just around the corner (in political terms anyway). A quarter of a century wasted.

Feels like the country has in many ways actually regressed since 2000. Post-2000 New Labour was marred by the Iraq war, then we had the expenses scandal, then austerity and the massive increase in poverty and inequality, now we have Brexit and the rise of the far-right.

We should really sort out all that climate change stuff soon, eh? Just been sitting on that too. An Inconvenient Truth was in 2006.
