I won't really miss him TBH, as he was a big supporter of May's gooseberry fool deal and still refuses to back another referendum. I have no interest in that brand of 'sensible centrism'.
Downloaded the BBC Sounds app so I could start listening to Radio 4 in the mornings again and I had to turn it off within 10 minutes today. A Patel proxy arguing a case against Facebook's end to end encryption and it really was like listening to a dickhead fight a banana split.

No idea who could win this between Khan (who is now universally disliked in opinion polls), Stewart and Siobhan Benita (Lib Dems).
Independents usually have no chance in hell, but Ken Livingstone managed it in 2000. Stewart could be the next Boris, but let's be honest he is a bit...weird. And then you have the Lib Dems, who have a good shot at it as well, and are also vocally Remain, but that may be irrelevant by next year.
I'd still put my money on Khan. It's going to take a lot of ball-washing from the media to erase Stewart's right wing record - and having voted 3 times for Brexit.
I'm guessing he's going to have the support of the Evening Standard. Not sure if that sort of thing means that much anymore, but it's still the most read newspaper in London with an opinion (Metro is neutral).
I've wondered for a long time if George Osborne doesn't quietly think about having a run for mayor himself..he hasn't acted like a man who's done with political life.

But he was still a Tory, so good riddance. Although that will probably mean a far right Tory will take his place.
Don't get me wrong I don't like the guy but i thought he'd be the best placed to argue that he has nothing to do with what Boris did post ... well Boris.
The tories are so strawberry floated, they have been dragged to the right by the idiotic actions of Cameron getting into bed with racists. Now they are basically over unless the sensible tories the old tories can bring it back.
As much as I dislike them this isn’t the normal them, this is UKIP racist highjacking the party.

100% agree with this. I don't know how anybody could support them in the current state.

No alternative for transitional tories, generally tories are more likely to vote, which means they are in a situation of either voting for tories I spit of this gooseberry fool show, or not voting which many will never have done.
I get why people don’t like Corbyn (I don’t) but that’s strawberry floating scary. How the strawberry float can anyone think Johnson is a better choice than...well anyone!
If you want Brexit delivered who else are you going to vote for. Boris thus far has a clear message: we’re leaving on October 31. Where he stands after that if we don’t is another matter.
