Bloody Beaker folk! Coming over here, rowing up the Tagus Estuary from the Iberian Peninsula in improvised rafts; coming here with them "beakers", their drinking vessels. Ugh! What's wrong with just cupping up the water in your hands and licking it up like a cat?

We need to ensure the brightest and best beaker folk stay in the Iberian Peninsula and fill it with beakers! Instead of coming over here and teaching us to drink liquid out of cups. :capnscotty:

I think the best particles should stay in a void of nothingness instead of coming over here and forming matter.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Man, that's a deep cut.

When I was in the Lower Sixth, we had a French teacher called Miss Kroptkin. She was in her mid twenties and fit as strawberry float, and I'm sure she had no idea why everyone was doing Punt and Dennis impressions around her.

Boris is looking for a new spokesman.

Considering how things have been going, he should probably hire Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf.

The article suggests he is looking for a press secretary rather than just a spokesman. And Sean Spicer is a terrible example of a press secretary.

£100k a year to repeat Boris' lies and be hated by most of the country.

No thanks.

I think you're underestimating the downsides, and the job security.

It's absolutely going to be Laura Kuenssberg, she's been doing the exact job already.

I just left the Taskmaster thread, saw that and was very confused as to how anybody could think Kuenssberg would be very funny.

I err on the side of thinking a lot of criticism I've seen of her is overblown but if she does take that job, she will permanently lose any credibility she's ever had.

She's not going to take that job. It'd be a massive pay cut.
