They have to offer amendments to create a final bill and then they'll vote for that. If that passes then it goes to the lords.

It'll be interesting to see how the EU respond and the US for that matter.

This bill seems destined to do the opposite of what the Tories actually want. I'm unsure if they're hoping to use it to get concessions from the EU or if they're trying to force a no deal that they can sell as the EU's fault. Both seem like high risk strategies IMO.

The tories are betting everything against the UK economy. They want to crash it as much as possible as they're all disaster capitalists. Look at Rees Mogg. They'll strawberry float our economy then strawberry float off to Europe.

They should be in jail for what they're doing, but they'll get away completely scott free.

I think there's actually a lot of overlap between being genuinely ideologically committed to building fascism, being a selfish rich tosser out to grow your inheritance, and being a bit stupid.

They don't line up by accident, they feed off each other. There's a class of people who benefit from running the country in that way, and who are shaped by the same conditions that make that true.

I'm not actually sure if this distinction actually matters but for me there are two possibilities with the Tory corruption:

1) They are willing throwing the whole country under the bus in the hope that using the fall out they can transfer as much of the countries wealth in their and their mates pockets as possible and then do a runner. So the PPE scandal was a just an attempt to move money to their mates and they never expected working PPE to be delivered to the NHS and breaking international law is an attempt to wreck the country to open it up for exploitation while giving an excuse to blame the EU for everything going wrong.

2) They actually believe that overall they are doing the right thing for this country and they will improve the country while making money for their friends. So the PPE scandal was due to one of their mates saying they could get PPE so being awarding a contract and then screwing up ordering process and buying a bunch of faulty PPE. With the international law they believe that showing the EU how serious they are will make the EU give further concessions.

I actually think point 2 may be closer to the truth although I find it harder to believe because it makes the Tories look incredible stupid and I think I would have more respect for them if point 1 was true.
