I can't really see this cutting through with the public like Cummings did though.

I don't think this incident will cut through with the public like the castle did, but she's going to keep doing stupid stuff and eventually she'll be kicked out and Johnson will look stupid for keeper her around for so long.

With GRcade's record on predicting political events, she'll be Prime Minister by March.

She's loyal to him and that's all he cares about. Priti Patel already had to resign as an MP a couple of years ago for having secret meetings with Israel. If that didn't keep her away from government permanently then a little bit of bullying isn't going to put Boris off.

You have to remember the standard in a Johnson government is much lower than any other in history. Boris can't exert authority over this sort of behaviour when he has done far, far worse himself.

It sets such a shitty example. My workplace go out of their way to encourage decent behaviour from staff and management, and we have anonymous lines to report harassment and bullying. I'm pleased to say they take it genuinely seriously. It's the same in schools, my sons school are excellent from what I have seen and tackle any aggressive or bullying behaviour instantly.

Then you have the actual government who basically don't give a gooseberry fool. Cronyism, corruption, negligence and bullying, it all seems to be generally encouraged.

The man is Eton educated and a former Bullingdon club member. He's been drilled in bullying behaviour from an early age. As if there is any concern for this.

It doesn't matter that she's BAME when it's one rule for her immigrant family but another for everyone else's.

That's the answer to DML's question. The Gammons think she's their perfect defence to any claims of racism/hatred of immigrants.

I saw another genuine attempt at defence that suggested she couldn't possibly be a bully because she's five feet tall.

These utter strawberry floating morons are so incredibly stupid, primitive and myopic, and they have no desire to overcome it.

Patel's defence is based mostly on her not being aware of her actions. As predicted that was bullshit.

"How can you say this fascist bully is bad, when she's a woman and of a minority ethnicity? Truly, the left are so bigoted" is the culmination of years of deliberate twisting around what we mean by "racism" / "anti-racist".

I agree, but it's also the danger of prioritising identity politics over material politics. Eventually the right catches on and uses liberal rhetoric against them.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Why bother appointing an independent adviser if you are just going to ignore the advise if you disagree?
