If we had a competent population Labour would be 77% ahead.

The "any other leader" argument really needs to die now

Corbyn led Labour to the worst election defeat in living memory!

Did you vote for Rebecca Long-Bailey? :dread: Continuity Corbyn candidate. :dread:

Keir was the only good option in the Labour Party Leadership contest. I could absolutely see him getting votes in seats where it matters. Can't say the same about RLB.

I honestly don't think Keir is that good, I really liked him but since he's become leader I've been a bit disappointed.

He's not been great, but very few politicians are doing well at the moment.

Starmer needs to attack the Tories more. He's coming across way too passive.

Don't know why I expected a sincere response on what Labour MP you think is best suited to be Party Leader.

To be fair Corbyn’s opposition got us a reasonable furlough package back in March which was one of the last things he did as opposition. I can’t think of anything that Starmer has done on that level since taking the leadership position in the last year?

That's not really an excuse though, is it? He's showing zero leadership or vision for what alternative Labour would give the country right now. It's very difficult to know where he and the party stand on any issue now when he's jettisoning his leadership pledges and promises, most recently around fighting for freedom of movement with the EU.

I wasn't making an excuse. I'm not a Labour Party member or supporter.

Labour have had dreadful leaders for a decade now. Miliband, Corbyn and Starmer have all been crap in their own way.

What's amazing is that the Tories have also had piss poor leaders, Cameron, May and Johnson, but seem to appeal to the public more. It's beyond me why anybody would prefer the psychopathic inept banana splits over the nice but inept.

Lets be fair, apart from the odd PMQs where he has torn Boris into pieces (which is low hanging fruit against a bumbling fool considering his employment background), he has been useless so far as an opposition leader. I get they have a strategy for getting him elected...but people are dying and children are being starved. The country desperately needs strong opposition.

It's because you live in a right wing verging on racist country. It's the only answer now that makes any sense.

It's a mix of that plus very selfish rich people that will go along with anything if it keeps their tax low.

I can understand (but not agree with) the tax banana splits. I will never understand the other twats.

There are way fewer rich banana splits, than actual banana splits though.

The right wing media have stirred up so much hatred and resentment at the wrong people for over 40 years, this is the result, a country full of banana splits. A cuntry if you will.
