Cleverly mentioned some of the non-military options include the fire service, the police and the NHS too - what could go wrong!

" Prisons overflowing with 18 year old National service Dodgers plague the British Justice System from deporting all the Migrants who cross our channel looking for free hand outs" Daily Mail probably

Lib Dems target Tory seats by highlighting taxes on pensioners

The number of older voters being sucked into paying income tax is higher than the Conservatives’ majority

He still ends it with labour don’t have a plan

Obviously the tories aren’t getting in so it’s irrelevant but surely 99% of 18yr olds would just choose to do charity volunteering

"volunteering in roles". Is he that stupid that he doesn't understand it's not volunteering if it's compulsory?

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

I remember once reading an article where someone in the military said that national service would be a non starter, as they find it tough enough training up folks who actually want to be there let alone having to deal with a flood of individuals who don't.

I swear that at this point whenever Rishi goes on about Labour having "NO PLAN" he's just trying to convince himself now. Like what if the unthinkable happens and he gets re elected, what happens to his summer get away in Florida? Is his wife gonna go alone? Lolz.

He should have been asked whether he considers providing unfaltering obsequious support for a known rapist to qualify as "British values".

The BBC did that for decades, the Royal Family are doing it as we speak. It's perhaps the MOST British value.

Only if they are white.

Otherwise, a few incidents show a problem with an entire culture.

More concerned that Keith Starman pledges the same thing. I don't think it will happen. I hope it won't.

In Ireland at the moment. You guys really take your local/European elections seriously! In the UK you might get a few weirdos putting up a party sign in their windows/garden. But even then only really for a general election.

Over here every single lamppost seems to have a poster up with the name and a photo of the candidate. It must cost a strawberry floating fortune!

There's literally hundreds of Lib Dem signs in St Albans and a few green ones.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

There's hundreds here just per road. With full colour photos of the candidates.

Maybe St Albans is similar, but I've never seen anything like it in the UK.

No it's mostly those little diamond signs. There are a few posters with pictures in people's windows.
