Not quite a "new game" but it's Valve sanctioned and at 8 hours is at least the size of the first Portal. With TTP2 and this out within two months of each other it's a good time to be an FPS puzzle fan.

I've never played Portal 2 co-op by the way so if anyone wants to blast through it with me hit me up and we can arrange it :)

I've started this. It's pretty good so far, though I'm stuggling with aiming a bit on the Deck. I might have to test out some gyro options.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

End of chapter 1 spoiler: Managed to get myself trapped behind the projector screen. :fp:

I'm finding this really quite difficult. I'm only on chapter 3 and I'm getting stuck. They haven't even given me the orange portal yet!

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I was wondering if it was just me, yeah it's really difficult.

I haven't played this yet because I'm still on TTP2 but I think I remember reading that the difficulty level starts at the end of Portal 2's.

That makes me more interested, tbh! Wasn't Portal 2 actually a bit linear with its puzzle solving and you basically just looked for the one but of white in the rooms to solve the puzzles? Am I misremembering? I just remember finding the puzzles more ones of executing the inevitable as opposed to properly, satisfyingly surprising.

(Also the way there was talking/Hilarious Quips at the beginning and end of every single puzzle felt pretty forced and formulaic.)

But then again it's been a while tbh!

(And obviously if it's too too hard it'd feel a bit Baba Is You where each puzzle feels like an exhausting Celeste C-side endeavour! But maybe I'm dumb)

“Find the portal-able tile and put a portal on it” was the reason I thought Portal 2 was such a massive step backwards from the original, and I’ve been losing my mind that anyone thinks the sequel’s single player outdoes it in any way but length.

Agreed! Although all the Wheatley stuff and some of the gameplay jokes (pressing to Jump etc) were great. And the jellies were fun! Although once again I vaguely remember feeling they could have been used in looser, more playful ways (as opposed to just for utilising within specific PrinceOfPersia-rigid puzzle and movement solutions).

*Referring here to Sands of Time.

I have been tempted to revisit Portal 2 though, for the co-op campaign and to use my beloved Switch joy-con gyro with it...
