I did but I haven't missed it in this. I've got loads of health potions but I've just been eating food to heal.

This is strawberry floating amazing by the way. Potentially my favourite of the franchise and I'm only up to Chapter 3.

Do you mean the one that's usually in the north east-ish?

I’m at chapter 8 of Kiwami 2. I love these games so, so much. I think the city almost feeling like a character is one of the big factors. It’s such a cosy place to occupy.

Yeah, it's usually on the corner somewhere near Little Asia. They sell nothing but HP and Heat drinks.

EDIT: Hmm. Will have to find a place to stock up. Sigh.

Yeah, just regular shops. I like that each individual item has its own inventory limit in this. My inventory fills up too fast in Yakuza but in this I don't even have to think about it. Means I can stock up on gooseberry fool loads of food as well as health drinks.

I just made friends with the president of a irl Japanese steak joint :slol: The constant selling in the Yakuza franchise would get on my tits if it wasn't for the fact I've never heard of these brands. However, the shilling element of the dialogue in this particular side mission... ugh, awful stuff. (President mentions something about the quality of the steak and protag replies with something along the lines of Such great quality and yet such cheap prices! How do you do you do it?! :cringe:)

Can't wait for Greggs to hit Japan.

Why’s this come off sale early? I tried to buy it this afternoon but could not due to the app not accepting PayPal on mobile, and when I go to the store on my PS4 it’s showing up as full price. Am I being stupid? It definitely showed the 19th earlier on today as the expiry date. Was it a typo?

No, it's a case of they reserve the right to take things off sale early. (Happened years and years ago to me with a TLoU sale date :x) My guess? A gooseberry fool load of people snapped it up and Sega wanted it back at full price.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Disappointing. I wish the app would let you buy games through it. I'm guessing its another iOS thing....

Skeletons in Closet spoilers: The reveal with Shintani at the end of Skeletons in the Closet (specifically how they make you think he's in the closest only for the phone to be finally answered) :o :applause emoji: That was masterfully done.

I'm about 16 hours in and just having a whale of a time completing the side quests. Still on chapter 3 so I might be playing this for a while.

Really couldn't get into Yakuza 4 last month and had to push myself to finish it but I'm absolutely loving this.

It'll end up in another sale soon enough. It's been on sale several times.

To think that I brought this on launch day, full price.  But I don't regret it. It's one of my favourites.

PostRe: Judgment - A Yakuza spin off - Best 'Yakuza' campaign by far -SomeGuy
by Saint of Killers » Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:56 am

So yeah, the campaign is brilliant - I can actually follow and remember what is going on and with whom :slol: But my god those tailing missions and their "gameplay"! How the strawberry float did that gooseberry fool pass muster?! It's the most bare bones gameplay I have seen, and worse yet there is NOTHING enjoyable about it! The game gives you disguises and that would at least be a way to quicken things up by hiding in plain sight and not have to worry about keeping behind the target and going at a snail's pace, but you can't even make use of those! Nor can you hide amongst the few throngs of people you come across. How about using the drone? Nope. Tailing the target from the front? Nope. NOTHING BUT TEDIUM. I mean... strawberry floating hell RGGS! And IF ONLY it was the only egregious element of the game, but some of the investigative mini games are equally tedious and can be obtuse in the extreme. (The one in the Champion District with barker guilt tripping you into his bar being the worst one I have encountered yet.)

Sorry but I had to vent after a suffering a tailing mission and the barker/wife mission last night. But yeah, it's still a really good game that's more than worth your time if you are into Yakuza or even otherwise.

Nngh. This had such a good murder mystery going and then, typical for the Yakuza series, in comes a conspiracy over land/real estate and sucks the fun out of the whole thing.

A make life easier for yourself tip: do the sewer related missions asap/visit the guy down there often. (It'll eventually open up a 2nd shop which has the double-step dodge + dodge strike manuals. Also gold tuna cat food.)
