I found the story really dragged during the later chapters, i certainly didn't enjoy it as much as the Yakuza games.

Started off as one of my favourites. By the end I hated it, awful final boss in particular which is a real shame as the series usually nails those. I'd recommend dropping the difficulty as most of my issues came from how poorly balanced the combat is on Hard.

It's the first game in the series I started on normal difficulty instead of hard. Sounds like I dodged a bullet

Story took an unexpected turn. I like it. Also, I appreciated the Alzheimer's stuff. No doubt they left a lot of detail out, but I found it an eye-opener/educational all the same.

Ignored Kim's latest copy+paste begging text. Will next help him out when 4th gang member bothers to show up. Cannot believe they didn't think to give better progression route on that mission :fp: How many strawberry floating times am I supposed to beat up the same few tossers? :x

Unlike the tailing missions, at least drone races are optional. (I was enjoying them until they set one to go partially through the Millennium Tower. I rage quit after losing a handsome lead thanks to a shitty tight turn and haven't played it since :slol:)

Penultimate chapter and the lead up to it set things up brilliantly. Final chapter spoiled it. Yup, story is flagging now. Worse still, one of the reasons for it was due to the holding back of a heavily foreshadowed reveal which then, after finally being confirmed, lead to sweet fa :fp:

And done. Final lot of encounters and the slowing down of gameplay was tedious, but I loved the story and game overall. Tailing and investigations gameplay really needs work.

46% completion. Took me a shade under to 38 1/2 hours. (Didn't touch a lot of stuff.)

Sega confirmed to IGN that cross-buy will not be supported for PS4 and PS5, and we could not get an answer on whether progress can be carried over from the PS4 version to the PS5 version. Furthermore, RGG Studios says it does not have plans to release Judgement for PC at this time.

For a second there I got excited about a PS5 upgrade, but it sounds like the PS4 version won't be upgraded and you have to buy the PS5 version all over again? Nah, strawberry float that.

I only just played this game on PS4 so it's a pass from me. A Yakuza 6 upgrade would be welcome though as I never got round to that one.

I'll definitely play it again on PS5, but I'm in no rush to do so.

A bit conservative, that. I think it'll see release later this year.

I just recently bought Judgment, haven't got very far, and would have really appreciated a free PS5 upgrade. :x

Where as I have completed Yakuza Like a Dragon, and since the saves don't transfer over I'm unlikely to play the free PS5 version.

Sega really aren't handling this whole cross gen thing at all well compared to some other publishers.

I don't think they can justify the statement "no current plans" if they're releasing this year. Steam just got the 3-5 pack like a year after PS4 and 6 is due in a couple of months. They'll want to space the Judgment release out more to prevent burnout.
