Need a bit of help with the side case.

You know, when you arrived at the Tender Bar to meet the client and once when it was done, the barman mentioned that I can go back to him to get a side case. So a while later I went back and nothing has happened.

Do I need to finish the main case first before doing the side cases?

Cheers.

Yeah, go back later and it'll be there. I think an icon may even appear on the map at his bar when the side quest is available. (I think it'll be a lady or a guy sat at the bar... or maybe I'm mixing it up with another Yakuza game! Either way, I'm sure it'll show up as you progress with the game.)

I doubt if I can get another platinum for this one. I'm not very good at games like Shongi etc. I'll see how it goes.

No I haven't. Judgment is the first Yakuza game I've played.

How the strawberry float do you win Mahjong with Wareme (for a friend request)?!

No idea. I found this, though...

What the wareme rule means in concept is that before every round, a pair of dice are rolled (not pictured) and the roll determines who has the wareme on their side. In other words, it's assigned randomly. Having wareme on your side is a double-edged sword. If you win, your score is doubled. If you lose, your loss is doubled. This basically means that if a non-wareme player gets tsumo, the wareme player pays for half the points the winner earned, while the other two players pay a fourth.

There are other stipulations in the wareme ruleset:

  • You cannot make any rule changes before playing.
  • The game is set as a quarter game length.
  • Red Dora is turned off.
  • Kuitan is turned on.
  • Two Han Minimum is turned off.
  • Instead of one dora indicator, TWO dora indicators are flipped at the beginning of the round.
  • If all four players declare "riichi", the round ends with a draw.
  • There is no "uma" for final results. Instead the first place winner gets an "oka", otherwise known as a straight up jackpot, and the other players lose points.
  • If a player's score goes negative, an extra 10,000 points is paid to the winner.

There are other minor rules, too, but they will very rarely come up. Read the notes in the game for more info.

I haven’t bothered going for the platinum in any Yakuza games because of Mahjong.

I have no clue what to do. Even the beginner guides went over my head. So I just don’t bother with it.m

The bum in the sewers sell one use cheat item for Mahjong and I think I used that for a side quest. Save before you play and use it to get the result you wanted. Reload if it isn’t.

I don't think I can go for the Platinum but I just want to get 50 (49 at the moment) friends and a couple last side cases to finish them off.

It works for that friend request too. I think I got the friends trophy.

The final side quest is ridiculous.

At last! I managed to buy the cheat nine gate tile for it and at first go I won!

So, so easy.

The last side case to fight and it was ridiculously hard but I was too tired to focus how to beat him.

I'll try it again tomorrow.

Yeah it is very hard. I came close but I wasn’t quick so I just shelved it, and never went back for some reason.

I will replay it one day eventually.

I was that close last night though. I managed to reach when the health bar was orange but I strawberry floated it up.

I did look up how to beat him on YouTube and it seems easy enough but I'll find it out later on!
