Did he give you his heart?

Yup.

Don't tell him, but the very next day I gave it away...

This year however, I believe he plans to save his tears.

Yeah, he should give it to someone special.

Yeah, it was the scene where he catches the ball on his Velcro hat and does a fly by celebration.

Me and Ru, the jaguar I've been looking after for the last six weeks. He's strawberry floating amazing.

What's the difference between that and a leopard? Just looks like a leopard to me.

Leopard (Scientific name: Panthera pardus): These cats have a pattern that looks flower like — called rosettes — in large numbers with a slightly different color inside.

Jaguar (Scientific name: Panthera onca): Jaguars' markings also include rosetted dots but they sometimes have spots in the center as well as a darker, thicker outline. Typically, there are larger rosettes in smaller numbers on this species.

Cheetah (Scientific name: Acinonyx jubatus): No rosettes here, the Cheetahs have solid, evenly-distributed spots.

I watched an episode of Wildboyz recently and they said either the Jaguar or the Leopard is the one feline that can't be tamed cause they're crazy. Can't remember which one. Of course they then went on to pet it.

It probably wasn't the jaguar as there were several jags that were walked every day at the park. They weren't tame but they wouldn't out and out attack the people walking them.

More jag facts, they are the third largest big cat after the tiger and lion and have the strongest bite of all of them. They are also strawberry floating awesome.

Aww lookatim! He was a good boy.

Large felines are awesome. I am seriously considering going to that or a similar place next summer, Taf. You have awoken something in me.

The park I went to actually had a "No tattoo, no entry" policy. The shitter the better.

It was as if I were a god.

Why have they got massive straps around their necks?

Like I say, Ru was too rambunctious to walk so as often as we could we'd get him out on his "runner" which was basically a big length of wire suspended about 10 foot off the ground. We'd clip him to it via a rope through the rings you see round his neck and let him walk himself.

sanc·tu·ar·y
/ˈsaNG(k)CHo͞oˌerē/
Noun
A place of refuge or safety.

All the animals were rescued, either from the black market or from people who'd bought them as pets but could no longer control them.

One male jaguar requires 60 square kilometres of land to roam in. They're solitary creatures: any more than one male per 60km square means one of them will die. The land purchased for the park back in 2002 amounted to 800 hectares with the aim being to expand when they could afford it. Unfortunately by the time that happened the happy go lucky Bolivian farmers had deforested the entire area. That 800 hectares is now an island of jungle. As all of the local wild jags and pumas were forced into this region, they cannot release any of the animals and cannot afford to ship them elsewhere. They provide the best life possible for them within the means of the, entirely volunteer funded, organisation, which is a life that's a hell of a lot better than they would have gotten without the park. Exposure to humans is limited to the volunteers who work with them, and you have to commit to a minimum of a month to work with a cat.

It's not a zoo. It's a sanctuary and I resent the implication that I'd pay to volunteer in a strawberry floating petting-park.

Whoa, easy, I had no idea the context of where this took place or you working on a sanctuary. Was just rather odd seeing a Jaguar with a collar then to be told it gets walked around by a leash.
