That thing's the exact colors that come to mind when I picture the 1970s. :slol:

This is how cool phone design used to be. Now they're all black mirrors and boring as strawberry float.

Those designs would be utterly impractical today and not a single person would buy them. Current designs are boring because anything else would be stupid.

They were phones for the late 90's / 00's but they were still alternative designs to most other phones that were out at the time. Companies could still do modern alternative designs that suit the modern infrastructure but none of them ever want to take a risk.

They were pretty stupid at the time. I knew a girl that had the top one, it was massively impractical and she hated using it.

Phone design is boring, but mainly because we have a design that works.

A friend of fine had the bottom one, he quite liked it. I seem to remember the bottom one being total crap. You had to hold it length ways to make a call as well.

I had a phone with a slide-out keyboard for much longer than was really socially acceptable ( :slol: ) because I prefer using buttons. I was quite sad when it finally broke and I had to get a touchscreen phone.

I had that as a hand-me-down from an older cousin, don't think it had all the recods though.

I also had a brilliant Tomy Pacman game given to me by another cousin, I've still got it somewhere in the loft.

My second (and last) VCR, purchased in 2001, this lasted me until i made the switched to using discs. Still have it too, it never left my TV cabinet, only now it's not plugged in and is hidden behind lots of random stuff.

Image

Still worked the last time i checked, though the remote stopped working for some (non battery related) reason.

One of the last movies i bought on VHS was Ocean's Twelve.

Also, speaking of VHS, although most of my old tapes have now gone, i kept my copy of Independence Day because of the nostalgia value it provides (plus it has a neat 3D card insert).

Mum has most of my old VHS at hers. We had quite a big collection that's now all shoved in her closet under the stairs.
