The 90s set reboot sounds interesting, I geuninely believe the last film failed because the zords were gooseberry fool, it was well cast and the story was fine, but the zords just looked so strawberry floating dumb. Hopefully they get that aspect right for the reboot and this shared universe stuff and we get some good stuff to look forward to.

Yeah, I'm very interested in seeing how that 90s set reboot looks. The 2017 film is an enjoyable one, with a few missteps. The biggest part of that being the zords. They're too overdesigned. I get that's what they were going for - what with the alien origins of the powers, but they're just hard to look at and are used so much in that final part of the film.

They've only put the first half of the season up, so I guess the second half will be hitting in July (seriously hope we're not waiting until December). Gotta say, they've really managed to craft a great series in Dino Fury. I really want to see how it wraps up.

Yeah, waiting seems best. Could be that there's cheaper offers once they release.

ONCE AND ALWAYS LOOKS A NOSTALGIA DELIGHT!

I absolutely love that we're getting this. This special seems the perfect way to celebrate an important anniverary, and I cannot wait to see it when it arrives on Netflix. Along with more Lightning Collection reveals, the Cosmic Fury suits have also been shown off with a little video, and we've got another historic moment with the first full-time female Red Ranger in a series. After what Dino Fury had to offer, I'm ready to see that story continue with this new series.

My guess is that they appear but don't speak. The Yellow Ranger is there too when they are attacked. From the trailer we know Trini is killed by Robo Rita my guess is that Tommy, Jason and Kimberly are also killed in the same battle, and that's why Rocky and Cat return.

If you loved Mighty Morphin', Once and Always has you covered. Sooo much nostalgia while telling a very heartfelt story.

Simply beautiful.

EDIT: And if you need any convincing, my review is now live.

I actually thought it was a little disappointing :shifty:

It didn't go that hard on the nostalgia in terms of bringing back characters, but also didn't feel like it existed in the same universe as the current series. Not sure there was any attempt to explain why these 50 year olds have pulled on their Power Ranger costumes again when most of them look in no shape to be doing so. I know it got to a point where it was all 'we need ALL rangers' to help with this, and I don't think they even did a great job of ramping up the peril to warrant that kind of reaction, but you already had the 90s Mighty Morphin guys already involved way before that point.

It just all felt like a filler episode of a regular series, not some epic 30th anniversary special. Okay, they can't do anything about only being able to get 2 of the original 6 Ranger actors back, but then they made weird decisions that just made that all the more obvious and jarring, like having Billy and Zack remove their helmets during the opening battle. You're having them do something you'd never previously see them do, so then the rest of them not doing it really stands out awkwardly.

Maybe it's dumb to expect it to have been anything more than another episode of a kid's show, but they definitely seemed to be aiming this at people that watched it 30 years ago. People that have probably read the brilliant Boom Studios comics and expect a little more.

Finished it. It was awful, poorly acted, woeful script, shockingly bad megazord battle.

It was a shame Adam wasn't really in it as aside from Zack he looked like the only believable ranger.

Would I watch another one if they made it? Yes yes I would.

While you're not wrong, the TV series has never been allowed to grow with its audience in its current state. Even the more mature series still retain a lot of the trappings of what the franchise was born on. For as much as this special was made for the audience who first started with Mighty Morphin', it could never have escaped from the target audience the TV series still tightly designs itself around.

Cosmic Fury Power! The 30th season is finally here, featuring the returning cast members of Dino Fury in a continuation of that story and also Billy - the original blue - as a part of the cast!

This should be an excellent ten episodes.

So, something weird but also interesting is going on.

Power Rangers Jungle Fury's soundtrack is available on Spotify (and other music providers)! Aside from main themes, they've never released the full soundtracks from series before (except for Once and Always, but that's a special case). Weird, right? But, Jungle Fury was one of the first series they started uploading to YouTube after being removed from Netflix. Along with Dino Thunder and Wild Force, the three had weekly additions before the rest were bulk uploaded as a decision was made to start from the beginning of the franchise. Now, could the same pattern be followed here? Jungle Fury, Dino Thunder, and Wild Force soundtracks first, then heading for the beginning?

Whatever the case, it will be great for fans of music to get clean versions of all the soundtracks used across the franchise.

EDIT: And it's gone. Guess it wasn't official after all. Unfortunate.
